First let me introduce myself to those who do not know who I am or what I do. My name is Dawn O’brien and I am the founder of “Dawn’s Heartfelt Corner”, which is a Non-Profit Charity. In 2000, I was in a dangerous automobile accident which left me with catastrophic consequences. Being that I almost died in an automobile accident, I had a severe skull fracture and neurological damage to the brain. Brain surgery had to be performed immediately because I was bleeding heavily on the right side of my brain. Now, I reach out to others sharing my testimony of how I survived this horrific car accident through communication in schools, churches, homeless shelters, hospitals, nursing homes, & various places of need. We bring support & encouragement to the disabled, hurting, lonely, neglected, poverty-stricken, troubled teens, men, women, & children of every race.

At this time I am not a certified health coach but I am working towards becoming one through Dr. Eric Berg. He is age 52, director of Dr. Berg's Nutritionals and author of the best-selling amazon.com book, The 7 Principles of Fat Burning. He has conducted over 4800 seminars on health related topics and trained over 2500 doctors world-wide in his methods. Dr. Eric Berg presently lives in Alexandria VA. God has been teaching me a lot through him and others.

What I am is a person just like you that at one time I needed help. You and I need to eat when we are hungry. Food was made for our survival not for you and me to be put in bondage by. So many people are in bondage with their eating and exercise goals. If I can help motivate and encourage just one person it puts a smile on my face knowing what God did through me.

Weight loss is a journey – tackle it in stages.
Some may get there very quick, whilst others may take ages.
Weight loss is a journey, some take the stopping train,
And they get off at the station, and then get back on again.
While other lucky people seem to travel by express,
With no apparent effort, each week they weigh in less.
For some of us the journey, too often seems uphill.
We never seem to get that far, struggle though we will.
Weight loss is a journey – anyone can go
But as you travel on your way there’s something you should know.
Losing weight’s a journey that different for everyone,
Some are happy to stroll along while others need to run.
If you want to complete this journey, then forget about the rest.
Each of you must travel the way that suits you best.
As long as you believe it, you WILL get there some day,
And so what does it matter if you’ve gone the pretty way?
Weight loss is a journey, that certainly is true,
And each of you must travel in the way that best suits YOU.
You’ll make much better progress if you go at your own pace.

Well its because I really admire your involvement about drinking and driving to tell you the truth, I lost my sister to drinking and driving she was hit by a drunk driver. I have had many serious wrecks God let me live for them keep speaking sweets drunk drivers have no clue who they hurt my family was so sad but God let me live.
I love to see people who are not afraid to stand up and say hey this is why im alive God anyhow keep it up.

I'm wanting to photograph women over the age of 40 to show that there is beauty in them and besides, confidence and self-awareness is something a young model does not have...at least not to the degree a mature woman does.

You seem to enjoy being in front of the camera.

Totally agree with your portfolio. Mature models are a pleasure to work with.

There's no prudery there, and it's bang in the middle (almost) of the Bible! I don't know about the USA but British society has been so tainted by prudish Victorian attitudes to sex and sexuality.

Caitlyn writes: Omg thank God your okay now! I had a car accident last year where a tow truck driver blew a stop sign and hit me totalling my truck. There was nothing left to it and I was rushed to the hospital. Had to have knee surgery from it and it left a pretty big scar on my leg. I have had some photographers tell me they cant shoot me because of it and many tell me I wont get anywhere with modeling if I dont shoot nude, which I dont do to begin with. But I must say things like this make you really appreciate life and I feel now like life is too short which is why I finally got into modeling, found great people to work with, and have never felt more beautiful. Your story is an inspiration especially for me because it shows that you overcame such a horrible tragedy and survived and succeeded in doing what you love to do! Definitely some major girl power there!!!! That poem is absolutely beautiful! We are both very lucky ladies than! Keep up the good work and inspiring and empowering other women!
