This week’s highlights: What makes a supermodel super?; Kate Upton’s meteoric rise; MM’s Carol Seleme and El Wood score covers; MM’s Suzy Monty proves age is just a number; and more…
What makes a supermodel super?
Fashionista explores what makes a supermodel super, while others just float along barely scraping a living in the industry. Some supermodels have been in the industry for 20+ years, long after they have hit their “expiration” date, which leads us to believe that there is no expiration date for the few that possess the desired qualities and “a quirky signature.”
MM’s Carol Seleme lands cover of Spicy magazine
Congratulations to Model Mayhem’s Carol Seleme for landing the cover of Spicy Magazine, shot by Big Apple Models. She is originally from Brazil, but currently resides in LA. Carol is gorgeous and has a wide range of modeling experience. We wish her all the best and we are sure that we will see more updates from her.
Kate Upton’s meteoric rise
Kate Upton’s meteoric rise continues with the cover of GQ this month. Since the beginning of her career, she has enjoyed tremendous success, most notably the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition earlier this year, TV appearances are adding to her fame, but it was viral YouTube videos, like Dougie and Cat Daddy, that first showed her fun-loving personality.

Jennifer Hudson’s new QVC fashion line
Jennifer Hudson can now add “fashion designer” to her resume. The 30-year-old mom, singer and spokesperson for Weight Watchers has put together a new, affordable fashion line, which will feature sizes 6-16. Her goal for the new fashion line is to create clothes that any girl of any size could feel comfortable wearing. Jennifer also intends to use models that are those sizes to showcase her line.
MM’s Suzy Monty – age is just a number!
Model: Suzy Monty
And finally, a big congratulations to Model Mayhem’s Suzy Monty for her June issue cover of H&E Naturist Magazine. H&E is one of the biggest magazines of its kind in the world today. What’s even more amazing is that Suzy is 61 years old, has been modeling since she was in her 20s, and is still working! Suzy is living proof that you can model at any age, and succeed at it. She looks great, but she also has a wealth of experience under her belt.
