Kelli Kickham is on the October 2013 cover of Zephyr Magazine. She is an agency represented model based in Los Angeles. In addition to modeling, she is also an actress. Kelli has a great look and extensive experience in the industry. She is highly knowledgeable and has done very well. We look forward to seeing more covers and great gigs that Kelli will be a part of down the road.

Model Mayhem’s Scarlett River was recently featured on the cover of Alt Girls Magazine. She is based in Los Angeles, California and will travel for the right projects. Scarlett is an internationally published model specializing in pin up, fetish, alternative and fashion, but is not limited to those specific genres. She has been featured in over two dozen publications and we are sure that her resume will continue to grow. Not only that, but she is also a fashion designer and stage performer who is highly capable of doing her own make-up and styling.

Female model books male gigs to extend her career

Female fashion models are known to have shorter careers than their male counterparts. Elliott Sailors used to work as a female fashion model, but the thought of the gigs drying up by the time she hits a certain age encouraged her to use her look in a different way and become a male model. She is currently 31 years old and is not the only female model to take this route in order to keep on modeling. This question goes out to the female models who are reading this: would you try to look like a man if that’s what it took to stay in this industry after you hit a certain age?

World’s top earning male models

On a related note, Forbes compiled a 2013 list of the top earning male models. At the top of the list is Sean O’Pry, who earned $1.5 million in the last 12 months. What’s really interesting about this is that the top earning female model, Gisele Bundchen, earned 28 times more than that. Breaking into the market as a male supermodel is much harder than it is for females because women get more opportunities to take part in fashion shows and ad campaigns with massive exposure.

Iman inspires young black models

Iman is a very inspiring model and entrepreneur. She has been at the forefront of the modeling industry for a very long time. The CTV article stated that she was disheartened because casting agents told young black models that designers don’t want to use them. It’s great that young models have a great role model like Iman to look up to. Iman, Bethann Hardison and Naomi Campbell launched the Balance Diversity campaign not to look ago, in order to make designers who take part in all the major fashion shows around the world aware of potential racial discrimination against black models.
