Can anyone tell me what material is best to use for body painting and where I can get some?

One material that seems to work well for some but not for me, is simply latex body paint available at sex shops.  Comes in several colors.  There's a trick to using it that I don't know.  Despite that, it's way fun...

Does this for a living and knows the in and outs. BTW, not affiliated, just know the man by reputation, and banter on MM.

Never ever use latex without first trying it on a small patch of skin to see if there is a reaction. Many people have bad reactions to latex. You should use makeup designed for bodypaint applications. There are several brands.
Btw, there are numerous threads about this already.

Good idea to get rid of ALL hair in the areas it will cover...or the latex will.

You can also search for Pashur on mm and see more of his work. Outstanding stuff. I'm guessing he uses an airbrush to apply the mehron product http://www.mehron.com/

This stuff should be safe though and can be painted on as well.

Pashur is a great source of inspiration and information...and rather than deal with all the current posts on this topic here is some simplified information.

Liquid latex is generally safe, but CAN be deadly if someone who is allergic to latex is exposed too much. It also stinks and is tricky to apply.

Paint is not necesssarily hazardous, but it is not necessarily safe either. Makeup is the only product that should be used on the skin.

Airbrush is generally as safe as paintrushes to apply makeup, but does require some training and CAN be VERY hazardous to your health if applied in a grossly negligent manner.

The best source for "body paint" is your local theatrical supply companym or a makeup manufacturer online. Mehron, Kroylon (sp?), Snazaroo, Trendy Tribals, Temptu,Dinair, Michael Davy, and Airbrush Body Art all sell tons of product.

Never use mettalic glitter.

Oh...and it is generally harder than it looks.

Hope this helps.
