Sep 01 14 12:32 pm Link There are several FTM transgendered models on MM that I've come across and I would love to work with some of them - whenever they're where I am, or I'm where they are I hope to make it happen! What does it pay? what kind of scene did you want to do? Sep 02 14 02:06 pm Link May 28 15 02:14 pm Link I am a TG model. I don't advertise it much, since it's such a small aspect of who I am. I also just want to be myself, without my transness holding me back. It's also none of their business what my biological sex is. That's just me though. Sep 13 15 08:46 pm Link I don't want to 'label' the model I've shot with in case I get the 'label' wrong, but I can tell you she is one of the most stunningly beautiful and photogenic models I have met. I have shots of her in my MM port. Can you guess who she is? Sep 14 15 05:40 am Link I'm not surprised at how long this thread has become and imagine that it will never stop. We've come to a time where there is a strong move for people to respect one another more deeply and to acknowledge the human rights of those who are gay or transexual or transgender and whatever other combinations there are. Fine, I've always said live and let live. But, if I search for a female model I don't want someone with testicles and a penis to show up for a shoot, no matter how pretty they may be. Physically there is man and woman, please be clear and open about this. As complex as things may be this is simple. Sep 14 15 11:05 am Link CDP Photo wrote: It shouldn't be any of your business though. Sorry, but if someone is trans, they have an identified gender, and that's what they should go by. You shouldn't be probing into their personal lives or be wondering what's in their pants. Trans women don't identify as trans, they identify as women, and trans men identify as men, not trans. Trans women are women, and trans men are men. Gender is a social construct. [Anatomical] Sex shouldn't matter at all when defining someone. I know I went all elementary gender studies, but we apparently still have a long way to go if people still define you by what's in your pants. If I don't need a naked woman I just use friends to shoot with. But if I ask for a woman and I get a surprise when said person disrobes, it will mean the end of the shoot. Sep 14 15 08:24 pm Link I have a job for a trans woman right now in casting. $400 day rate. In Ohio Valley or L.A. I got lots of interest but nothing concrete. Sep 24 15 03:56 pm Link Here's the TLDR version of my post for those who like one: I'm transgender (my bio contains more information) and wanted to comment on a recent ongoing discussion from September. By the way, I travel as often as possible and will do nude shoots with those whose work I like, if that wasn't clear. *** I'm a little late to the discussion from last month, but wanted to respectfully comment on it. I am transgender. Anyone who works with me for nudes will know what they're getting with me - always! I am very upfront. Also, I've known quite a few transgender people and those I know who have transitioned have never taken their clothes off unless and until anyone present knows what to expect. Many of us know the risks of accidentally surprising people or have even had scary experiences while clothed and the risks can be fairly serious. In particular, the transwomen I've known the best have often had the bulk of their scary experiences early on in transition and learned much from them. For those reasons, I find it interesting that the suggestion that transwomen could show up for a nude shoot without telling the photographer they're packing a "gun" and then disrobe for a surprise keeps coming up. Going into that situation without disclosing what bits you have carries multiple overt risks because a nude shoot carries different expectations than a clothed one. It seems unlikely to me that a model with at least some experience in nude shoots *or* a professional mindset toward her nude modeling would do this because she would know that could affect her reputation. However, it is a given that some people may disagree, some people may still not disclose for whatever reason before a nude shoot despite any risks, and different people exhibit different levels of concern for risk assessment when going into a new situation. If anyone would like to start or continue a discussion with me on this or any topic, please feel free to pm me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I am hard to offend and always welcome questions as well as connecting with other MM members. Tony Lawrence wrote: Good for you. I can certainly see benefits to photographing or working with Pejic, particularly for those in particular types of photography.
