Dave, you are a glutton for punishment - I'm speaking of the photoshopping.

Yeah I know! It’s a compulsion, I tell you. But I just got a new 24" iMac which is a HUGE step up from my old production 17" iMac. Glorious large screen, much faster..I'm a happy boy. Its gonna give me a nice productivity boost big_smile

I have one of those.  You are going to love it, if you haven't figured that out already.  Are you using Aperture or some other software to process images?

I know, I know....but I'm co-owner of a shop, and our grand opening was this week, so it's been HECTIC. My goal is to finish it up by the end of next week. *fingers crossed*

Yeah I used to work for Apple and then a dealer in town so I always got to see the good stuff...that I couldn't afford...

Right now I just use Bridge and Photoshop CS3. Bridge stinks, although it is fast enough to be usable now where it was terribly sluggish on the G5. I might have one of my buddies at Apple get me a copy of Aperture, they can buy software for friends at half price smile I don't really need it though. I do a lot more one-off images then whole sets.

I love the strobist events.. but for future reference- do not advertise your event in other people's threads. it is just rude.

thanks.

Not only is it rude, but the Strobist events are run differently by different people. I don't like some of their ideas and would rather not participate.

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude, but this event is over so I figured it'd be ok to post here. I wouldn't of posted the link had this event still be going on. I wanted Michigan photographers and models to know that there are still events going on this summer and here was another chance to meet some new people.

I'm not sure how our event is run any differently than this was. Rachael and Nikki came to our last meetup (which is another reason why i didn't think she would mind me posting this here) and she can tell you thats its pretty much the same.

it's not, actually. it is quite different. here we schedule beforehand, which wasn't really the case at the strobist event we attended. we all signed up with photographers that morning.

I probably would've been fine with it had I been asked before it'd just been posted.

Aww shucks, Thanks for the sweet comments:) I had alot of fun at Rosemont, as some of you might have noticed:P haha
With a couple of cancellations, all was good, I did a couple of impromptu shoots, and was very pleased with everyone I shot with. SO thank you!
On that note...
I have only received images back from two photographers, wallsoft and terrysphotos (a couple shots), Im know alot of the photographers are backed up from doing multiple shoots etc.. From a models stand though, its nice to at least receive a couple preview shots, untill all can be sent out.  Thats a good incentive to want to work with you again and keep us happy untill all can be processed.
Im just saying, its not fair to the models when photographers book themselves up so much they cant even give you a two week turn around time.
I am ranting, yes:) But I show up on time, am ready to shoot, I don't cancel, and I rock it in front of a camera:)
Thanks! xo

Here are a few more images from the Rosemont Shoot.  I think I am finally finished with all the editing.  I should be sending out all the CD's in the next few days.  Thank for being patient.
