So -- name a celebrity, and say whether you think he or she is aging well or not aging well.  (Name the recent show/event/photo that supports your opinion).

I'll start:

Elizabeth Shue -- aging well.  Saw her in a mediocre film ("Hamlet 2") -- her face is a little more drawn with less baby fat, and there are some wrinkles coming, but she still is hot -- really hot.

Alec Baldwin -- not aging well.  30 Rock -- getting heavy & gray.

Aging quality is directly proportional to the amount of money in the bank.

False. See my proof above with Cameron Diaz.

Some people just don't age well period. Money can't fix everything.

She's always had bad skin.
Good skin texture goes a long way in looking younger than we are biologically.

Oh for sure. I was just trying to prove that money can't necessarily just make you age better...

I think I'm doing pretty damn good for 40yo
and not a lot of money to spend on upkeep.

No make-up and totally minimal retouch.

If you consider Cameron Diaz to be aging poorly... then you clearly need to get out more.

She doesn't have the most spectacular skin in the world, true. But she's not aging poorly, in fact, I'd say she's aging like most everyone else at the very least.

Aging poorly would be a 19 year old looking like that... and I've seen them.

True, meth is notorious for its skin aging sideffects.

I was a bit shocked recently when I saw Kathleen Turner in "Californication", I think the last time I've seen her on screen were some 80ies comedies with Michael Douglas. She's like a female Mickey Rourke now.

YES!  God I can't tell you how many times I harp on my friends about this.  Many of these girls down here will join TWO tanning salons to be able to get around the 24 hour rule and tan twice each day.  It's ridiculous.  Even in their 20's, if you get really close up on their faces, you can see the pore changes and MANY little fine lines setting in, esp. in the forehead and around the eye area as well as nasolabial folds.  Some people just REALLY don't know when to stop...

In the end we can't protect people from harming themselves. They are aware of the risks. Still, if it was up to me, I would ban any and all tanning salons. If only for young women like her:
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007 … 031606.htm

Stories like that make me angry. It's such a needless waste of life.

Slippery slope.. cigarettes, alcohol and a myriad of other legal things and activities can also cause cancer... doesn't mean they should be made illegal.

Tighter federal regulations might not be a bad thing, although I'm not clear on what there are currently in relation to tanning salons.

Baldwin is 51, for crissakes!  A little gravitas suits the man!

Watch the ageism, whippersnappers; aging well is not the same thing as remaining perpetually youthful.

I cast my vote for Larry Bishop (Bud's titty bar boss in Kill Bill 2).  Just saw him in Hell Ride, a Tarantino-produced homage to early '70s biker flicks...and in Chrome and Hot Leather, an O-G '70s biker flick.  Dude's 61 years old, and you'd never guess it!  He's not baby-faced youthful like he was in the '71 film, but he looks a cool mid-40s in the 2008 film.  AND, he kicks ass in both!

Omg, Janice is gonna be such a badass old grandma! I could picture her with the same personality when she's 70. I hope she won't get anymore surgery by then though. Wrinkels can look a lot better than a face lift sometimes...or most of the time!
