Let's say I wanted to peruse the internet for examples of great fetish and bondage photography. Where would I go? Any sites or blogs that showcase the well done stuff? Or am I doomed to sift through crap to find the gems?

EDIT: Please don't give me particular photographer names. I don't want this to turn into a critique thread. I am looking for sites that feature a multitude of photographers and show the best of the best.

This is waaaay to broad to answer intelligently. I do bondage for a living and some dislike what I do but lots love it, hence my very good living but it's all subjective. And that's the beauty of bondage...there is no right, wrong, good or bad...just the taste of the one producing it for their own purposes.

I'd check out the work of Ken Marcus.  Sorry, I know you didn't want a specific name but if I said kenmarcus.com I'd still be giving away a name. Anyway, you can also search him out here, on MM, where he regularly participates in the conversation.

I have a gallery of fetish photography on my personal web site.  Access is by request/approval only.

Combination of bondage suspension and scene play.

Honestly - A good place to start in here, is to find somebody who's work you appreciate and then follow the layers of lists that are usually linked to those person's images.

There are some really jaw dropping "MM lists" of images here
(but, let's not kid ourselves - a lotta gunk and eyebleach material lists as well)

I've spent a lot of time in many genre's - just going from list, to listed image, to a different list - Etc

Call it "The six degrees of Ken Marcus game"  Always something interesting within 6 linked lists/images from any of his shots. lol

Some good stuff out there.  VintageVista

I'd say, check out Ken Marcus' profile here on MM.

This 18+ image in my portfolio is very popular

This 18+ image is from the same sitting.  I should go back & re-edit this image -- I'm much better at photo-editing now.

Fetlife is going to be a GREAT resource for that sort of thing.  It is a website dedicated entirely to the social aspect of kinky life.  Included in this is a very large subculture of photographer and models who post a lot of their work up there, mostly samples of course.

If you are interested in learning to shoot fetish stuff, I would highly suggest going to some public fetish events and just watching, talking and listening to people.  Shooting fetish/bondage is quite a different skill than shooting editorial or fashion.  Rules that apply in the latter often get thrown out the window for the first type.  Making fetish images that pop takes, often, a rudimentary idea of what fetish is, not just fetish photography.  Good luck on your journey!

If you have the time and can afford it I def suggest you attend Fetish Con which is held every August in Tampa. It's a 4 day event filled with demo's, classes, lectures, live shows, etc., not to mention the hundreds of beautiful girls ready and willing to get tied up.

But it's so funny Jack at how many people I talk with think that "their" way is the best way. Oh the request e-mails I get for the stuff people want to see and when I don't want to spend my money on shooting it they piss and moan, call me names and say I'm not broad enough in my tastes. Then don't fucking join my sites or buy my content but don't tell me what YOU think is right. Drives me batshit sometimes.....lol

btw....hope to see you at the Con this year, it's not the same without ya man
