Drew and Karl workshop/group shoot Sunday April 25th Vista, CA

Now that it is getting warmer, it's time again for Drew and I to start our workshops! This is a workshop and group shoot all in one event. This will be a glamour shoot.

Don't  believe us? Check out our previous events and see for yourself how popular our events are.

• Drew and Karl group shoot, Sunday March 28, Riverside, CA
• Drew and Karl TeaseUm shoot, Feb 27, Riverside, CA
• Drew and Karl group shoot, Jan 30, Riverside, CA
• Wooden Nickle Ranch, Sun Dec 6th - Menifee, CA
• Desert workshop/group shoot Oct-24 Victorville, CA
• Desert workshop/group shoot 9/27 Victorville, CA

Brand new location! This place is at least 6x bigger than Wooden Nickle Ranch. This place is a museum full of old tractors, trucks and machinery. There are so many place to shoot that you won't have models/photographers getting in your background. You'll have so many unique images for your 1 on 1 shoots.

For new photographers who want to attend our workshop
• We're here to share our tips to beginning photographers.
• Ever wonder how Drew and I light our models without the background being blown out on a sunny day? Speed lights not cutting it huh? sad We will give you hands on experience in using affordable and portable mono lights and equipment. Try Before You Buy. smile
• You'll be so impressed with your images after the event that you'll be ready to order the same lighting equipment we use.
• We'll show you different light modifiers and their uses. Octobox, Octodome, beauty dish and grids will be covered. You'll also get to see the new High Output Beauty Dish (HOBD) in action.
• Circular Polarizer and ND filter will be discussed and how it will improve your images when shooting outdoors or at the beach. I recommend Hoya brand.
• Once you attend our workshop, you'll be able to build up your port with beautiful models quickly.
• Students can take the remainder of day to shoot models.

Preperations:
• To make use of the workshop, CyberSyncs or Pocket Wizards are recommended. You can rent the PW's from Calumet or Samy's if needed. If the Pocket Wizards are unavailable to rent, you may rent the CyberSyncs or Pocket Wizards from Drew and I. Limited availability.
• Students should have prior knowledge on how to adjust their camera to manual mode and adjust aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

Don't care about the workshop?
• For photographers who don't care about the workshop, they can shoot the available models for the group shoot portion. (Please note that the workshop will be using Channel 1 and 2 on the Pocket Wizards. On the CyberSyncs we'll reserve Channel 1 and 2 also, if needed)

Hire models after the event for 1 on 1 shoots at 1/2 hour increments
Message the models that you like to work to hire them after the event for 1 on 1 sessions.

When is this taking place and how can i reserve a spot?
Date:Sunday April 25th.
Time:10am to 4pm. The main event is from 10am to 1pm. From 1-4pm you are allowed to hire models for 1 on 1 sessions at 1/2 hour increments. Lunch will be served at 12:30pm.
Location:Vista, CA
We'll email the address and information to you several days before the event.
Photographer fee:
• Workshop - $120 fee with $60 deposit.
(For photographers who want to learn working with mono lights and tips from Drew and I. Group shoot included.)

• Group shoot - $80 fee with $40 deposit.
(For photographers not interested in the workshop portion.)

• Deposit is non-refundable unless event is canceled. No exceptions!
• Remainder balance to be paid at meeting location.
• Deposit payment by Paypal.  Don't have Paypal? Get one or miss out!
• Contact Drew Santos with your full name, phone number, and email address for payment instructions. For non MM members reading this, Drew's email is BMWM34DREW@aol.com
• Model releases are not included. Cost of model release will depend on what the model charges.
• Lunch and drinks will be provided.

NO ESCORTS, HUSBAND, BOYFRIENDS, OF SOME SORT FOR BOTH MODELS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS!
But if you absolutely need to bring someone, they will have to pay the $80 fee.

After last week for me I have a new love for San Diego models.  If you're looking for a super amazing MUA/HS gal that is right in that area Drew PM me and I can give you her info to see if she is interested.  I had her for my two days in San Diego and was an absolute blast and very talented smile

For those of you considering the workshop, I owe what I know to these guys.  Here's just a quick example of my Speed-light shot at the beach, versus the recommended & demonstrated equipment you'll see at the workshop...

Before:

After a workshop session:
http://modelmayhm-2.vo.llnwd.net/d1/photos/100112/22/4b4d6e9cc7112.jpg

Huge Difference in quality of lighting on the model, especially those eyes that are so important!!!
Don't pass it up, it's a great learning opportunity!

shown the models? whats the point? you act like we need to see them.

anybody who has attended known the caliber of models that are at the events.  it's like hitting the pinata and getting nothing but the good candy, none of the cheap old stuff that hurts your teeth, lol.

Gorgeous models are posted and most of them have never been in any group shoots.

If you mistakenly put a deposit on other events this month and want to come to ours, contact me and I'll make that deposit a discount. 2 photographers already done it. LOL
