after watching pirates of the caribbean, i thought it would be really cool to see a model with black hair, body painted entirely black, except for a skeleton painted on front and back, maybe even glow in the dark or something. any body painters ever done this, or seen someone else do it?

ps, let me know if you think this belongs in the stylist forum.

That does sound very cool, reminds me of "Danger Island" from the Banana Splits show. (dating myself here...)

i've never done it, but i certainly can. i like the glow in the dark idea... you can experiment with highlighting different body parts with glow inthe dark paint, and shadowing others...kinda create a skeleton. shoot it all blacklight. HOT!

I've done a couple of body "paints".  Not actually paint, but rather makeup.  It's a coco butter/aloe makeup that comes in a dish and applied with a brush and a wet sponge.  One is my "avatar" who is african american.  The other was a model with very white pale skin and black hair.  Both models loved it.  They also loved the pictures.  I wouldn't try any type of body paint though.  I'd feel terrible if a model got a skin reaction.  This stuff leaves their skin soft after washed off.  It comes off with plain water.

I didn't do the skeleton your talking about.  Just a simple one peice bathing suit.  For me it was just another element of the art.  Both models are "lets do the paint again" when we talk about shoot ideas.  For me its kinda "been there, done that" and I don't see how to take it to another level.  Although the pictures are pretty cool.  kevin
