Sometimes I feel the best images don't get the recognition they deserve, so each week, just for fun, I will be presenting my personal favorite Pic of the week.

Gino (Portland Retouch) is having some issues with Imageshack, he is working on fixing these shortly.
He will re-post as soon as possible.

UPDATE:
It seems to be working again now, we have no idea why it stopped, however I have asked Gino to post the winning image a little later to allow more time for voting.

Thee Rules:
1. MM members and Contest Hosts may submit entries to this contest. To enter the contest you must submit 3 individual images (NO composites) of which you are the digital artist. Images should be appropriately sized (we suggest no more than 700 pixels on either side). By entering this competition you are stating that you are the digital artist or authorized by the photographer/copyright owner to post your images and that you assume any and all liability associated with posting your images and that you agree to the removal of any image a Contest Host feels does not comply with our set standards and contest objectives. No 18+ images or links are permitted.
2. You may enter this competition only once per contest, Tuesday through Saturday (Eastern-Pacific standard time zones), and you may enter each consecutive competition, no matter how many "wins" you have been awarded.
3. Voting will begin with the "vote banner" on Sunday morning, at or shortly after 12:00am EST, and will close on Tuesday morning, at or after 12:00am EST with the closing banner. No image submissions are accepted during the voting process so please hold your next entry until voting closes.
4. All MM member visitors, contestants and Contest Host/CH contestants are encouraged to vote and may cast ONE vote per competition. Contest Hosts who have not entered competition will not vote. As a contestant you are encouraged to invite friends to view and participate in this contest; however, to keep things fair, votes cast for you by friends and associates will not be counted. Soliciting votes in any way, on behalf of yourself or others, directly or indirectly, in MM or in any other social media is strictly prohibited. This contest is not a popularity based contest and if *established indicators suggest that votes have been solicited by anyone, for anyone, we will disqualify those particular votes. A vote DQ however, is not an accusation of cheating or vote stacking; it is the result of a neutral safeguard we have put in place to net votes that display the typical indicators of solicited votes.
Typical indicators of votes suspect of being solicited are:
*Votes posted by friends and members located in the same geographic area as the contestant.
*Votes posted in quick succession by members who don't normally visit the forums and have a low post count.
*Votes posted by friends associated with the creation of an image who are not regular participants in the contest.
If one or more of your votes is DQ'd by a Contest Host you will be promptly notified via private message. If a contestant feels he/she has had votes wrongly DQ'd, the contestant may contact a Contest Host via pm to enter a protest but may not post a protest in the contest thread.
Final ruling/decisions by the Contest Host will not be reversed.
As of 3/31/13 a new BONUS Incentive is being offered to all contestants who vote in the contest they are entered in. A 2 vote bonus will be awarded as an incentive for contestants to vote! This will offset the competing vote you've placed and will compensate you with an additional vote for your participation in helping us to grow this competition.
2-way ties will be awarded and 3-way ties will be broken by a deciding vote cast by Craig Seay.
5. Winners will be announced and posted, along with a new banner, each Tuesday. This banner may also be posted by the winner on the winner's profile page (if that option is available at the winner's level of membership)
6. Once an image has been submitted, please do not resubmit the same image for at least 14 days (2 consecutive contests) following submission of that image.
7. No winning images may be re-entered in to the same contest in which they have previously won.

I think that rule #4 has gotten so detailed that it makes people scared to submit. I use to submit weekly for years and then I quit cause it just got too much to deal with. I posted a link to the contest once on my fan page on facebook (i didnt tell anyone to vote for me just that there was a contest on MM. Most websites want new people participating) I have a lot of models, graphic artists and photographers who saw the link and came over and voted... not all for me either, but I got DQ just for sharing link.

Also, when I first started voting on here and didnt have many posts, my vote didnt even count because they assumed someone asked me to vote. It makes it hard for new people to come here and check it out when everything is so suspicious. And now you cant even be in the same city or town or be friends with the person?? So if I'm friends with Portland Retouch, I cant vote for their art? I think it takes a lot of the fun out of the contest when you have to worry about people thinking you are being dishonest all the time. I know several artist that have stopped submitting on this contest because of being DQ unfairly.

I'm not looking to start trouble or to have people tell me to leave because I gave my opinion. Thats what these forums are for and this is just my opinion and I really hope that I do not upset the moderators, it's just that I have always liked these contest and have submitted for years but its always the same group of people over and over because I think the strictness of the rules dont allow new people to come in.

PS- also rules are a bit confusing because they say you have to submit 3 images, when i thought that was lowered to 1 and it also says that hosts can not vote if they have not submitted image, yet Ken and Portland both voted this week??
