I think it's slightly out of focus.

Overall, I think it's "fair".

Not doing anything for me...it's fairly bland, to be honest.  Lighting is neither here nor there and there's nothing terribly artful about the production, not enough to say that a photographer applied their craft to it.  Model looks self-conscious and consciously-posed.  She looks like she's thinking "I'm holding Pose #3, maybe I should skip Pose #4 and go straight to #5 this time?"

I'm sorry Gary, but your avatar really does look out of focus and that just disappoints me.

I've always been an admirer of your work and that previous avatar of yours was by far so much better than this current one.

Your other work just blows your avatar clear out of the water.

Sorry dude.

While i like the pose and the look of the shot, the lighting is terribly flat- dodge and burn along with an exposure or contrast layer would help. If you want to get nitpicky, the model has blemishes including veins on her wrist that i would airbrush out.

What kind of lens do you use? I notice that all your photos are a tad bit out of focus, including your avatar. Some type of sharpening would help greatly.  smile

aside from critique that has already been given, which I agree with, The last button of the shirt being buttoned bugs the crap out of me. It doesn't flow.

Is it really out of focus or is that a cheap lens or camera shake?  If the light levels are low, do you use a tripod?

I know that you tend to post photos just to irritate people, but assuming this one time you're not, is that a dust spot on your sensor, on her cheek?
