For all the playboy models all over the world, like me smile !!!!

I'm Rosanne Jongenelen, Centerfold June 2011 from the Netherlands.

In this topic you can tell your own unique story, how you get in to the playboy world, how you experienced the shoot, did you ever visit the mansion, and all that kind off things. I'm curious!! smile

Playboy means for me sexyness, power, class and offcourse beautifull woman. For me Playboy models are the most beautifull models off the world.
and I think many other people here agree with me wink

So tell me, how was your adventure in the famous PLAYBOY world?!

(Offcourse it's also for all the other models and photographers too, you can ask the playboy models all your questions!! big_smile)

Kind Regards,
Rosanne Jongenelen.

Playboy has been an awesome experience for me! I submitted photos to the Special Editions staff, and they called me in for a test and also the big casting call in Chicago.

I've now been published 5 times (one cover) in the US and twice in Spain (another cover there, too) for the Special Editions, I am on the Busty Babes site and also was Cyber Girl of the Week last September.

I love the company and have had so much fun thus far! Playboy to me is all about beauty- beautiful women being beautiful while nude.

I used to feel that playboy was high class... But I recently came across an official playboy centerfold blog. This blog is written for men who clearly are not looking for artistic value or classy women. Here is a sample of the most recent post :
"Olivia isn’t covered by her skimpy choice of clothing. Her boobs are fully visible and her erect nipples poke out as though asking to be sucked and kissed. Her leather boots run up to her knees and there are no panties to get in the way.

Olivia’s blonde hair is styled into glamorous classy curls even as she crawls like a naughty sex cat over the floor."

To me this seems possibly degrading.

What did you think men were thinking about when they look at those photos; whether her shoes are Gucci? LOL

So you are blaming the publication for what its readership is thinking?  That is like blaming Bluefly because someone has a shoe fetish.

Anyhow, I wonder if the photographers feel as good about Playboy as some of the models have reported?

Playboy - much as any other business- has changed since it's origination.  Different generations of clients look for different things.  A successful business has to change in order to stay competitive. Right now the majority of Playboy's clientele are looking for what is currently provided.  When the demand changes again, Playboy will have to change again, or they will become stagnant.

I disagree with the "She is being taken advantage of by posing so suggestively" standpoint.  The women in that magazine WANT to be in there.  For various personal and professional reasons, they want to be featured in the iconic magazine.  They are confident women who aren't afraid of their bodies or being erotically viewed.  I commend them for that.

Don't hate on them for doing what they want.  If you want something classier, create your own magazine and see if it sells.  I think Playboy is still classier than much of what's out there right now.

I feel the same way - Playboy no longer has the edge it used to enjoy. Most of the centerfolds are truly beautiful, but they seem the same with most just doing it for the notoriety. I've always been leery of women who contradicted themselves and said they enjoyed posing nude, but only for Playboy. Then there those who want to be in the magazine, but will only do implied nudity (i.e., college girl specials) - seriously?

Yeeaaah... Playboy is still classy regardless.
Content vs. blog sales pitch

Anyways.
Playboy was fantastic, and an amazing experience for me. I'm actually kind of having a life crisis right now, because I had dreamed of getting in the magazine, for personal reasons, for years now. I'm kind of at a "Wtf do I do now?" LOL. Both career and personal goals I've already achieved getting in. I have plenty of other goals but I don't have anything as big as "getting into Playboy". I guess Playmate is the next step. wink

I kind of always felt like it's kind of dumb to want to get into a nudie magazine, and have that be a real and important life goal. But it was for me. And I can't pin point why exactly I feel this way other than, I am a part of a legend. Plus it was my moms goal too when she was younger, and I guess it passed down to me. That being nude is beautiful and wonderful and Playboy glamorizes everything about that.

So I've been Coed of the week May 19th '11, you can see more in Student Bodies, and my first print special editions publication, Lingerie aug/sep '11, goes on sale July 5th! Hopefully I'll be able to get more opportunities!

Of course models pose for Playboy for notoriety. Do you honestly believe Shawna in Nebraska has yearned to pose for Playboy since childhood just to let the world know she loves collecting thimbles?

Haven't read it in ages, but I imagine it has had to change due to the Internet.

I mean, it used to be that Playboy was THE men's magazine.  Now you have things like Stuff and Maxim for the article side of things, and the Internet for every kind of porn possible (and I mean that...wanna see a giant hermit do a guy in a unicorn suit?  Just Google it...)

Although interestingly Playboy is now considered somewhat conservative by some.  At least compared to what others are doing!  I mean, I think some of their models still have pubic hair!

Do you honestly think I don't realize that? You missed the point. To me, some of them are hypocrites when it comes to posing nude. They say nudity is awesome, yet they'll only pose for Playboy. It just shows a shallow, materialistic mentality. I'm not saying all of them do it, and more power to those who do it to support their career endeavors, but I have no sympathy for opportunistic golddiggers who just do it for attention.

yeah, it's true - Playboy took a big hit last year. They even started coming out every other month. Sad to think about it, but when Hefner's gone, I think that'll be it for the magazine and it'll have to rely completely on its online editions.

Playboy still has some of the best writers available to them, so I don't think they lost any ground to the other mens magazines on that end.  As for the nudes, well I would suspect the internet would have taken some of that but I think your google example hit the nail on the head; people who are interested in the PB glamour nude are going to keep coming to them and people looking for "other" things will go to the Internet.

No, that just shows good business tactic. If I was more business oriented to my approach to my nude modeling, I would be picky as hell to where my nudes end up. Because it's all about having something everyone wants, and sucking the most out of it when you do give it to them. Makes it more special.

Not sure what you're trying to get at really, but it's completely a business when you boil down to it. Being opportunistic, digging for the most money and getting attention for it just makes you smart.

Your boobs are more than fine.  Smaller chested women are not the norm for Playboy, but they do appear within the pages.  Honestly, you probably would not make centerfold, but you are attractive enough and have a nice enough body to be in the pages elsewhere.  Try for a special editions.  And stay brunette.

Fortunately Louie, the girls in the mag feel pretty damned good about themselves and aren't looking for sympathy from you or anyone else.

So see, it works out perfect, you don't have to waste any of yours on them.

Playboy is an old dying brand, it's no longer what it used to be.
It was vital in the sexual revolution, but there are a LOT more sexy women than those who are in Playboy.

You're insulting a lot of girls on this site who travel, pose nude and work for their money and are a LOT more attractive than you. lol

I'll predict something else, I highly doubt you'll be considered even in the top 3 spots for Playmate of the year.

I think you need to get off your high horse (ego) and come down to earth a little bit.

Playboy Netherlands has nothing on the North American version in terms of women, wow. lol
North America
http://www.playboy.nl/c/the-girls/playm … -month-usa
Netherlands
http://www.playboy.nl/c/the-girls/playm … -the-month

I'm sure the Netherlands has some STUNNING women (being from Europe myself) but did Playboy over there miss them or something?

Jessa Hinton alone blows all the Netherland girls away.
Let alone Olivia Paige added to the mix.

I never said it was a DEAD brand, it's a dying one, only a matter of time.
Maxim, Stuff, etc, have taken a bite out of it as has online porn.

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/In … rgain.aspx

It'll all depend on the next guy to take the reigns over and see how he/she does.
Even when Hef's daughter took over the company it wasn't doing so well, so what does that tell you?
