Ladies and gentlemen, our humble MM site has been the launching point for a series of self-published books showcasing women over the age of 40. It began in 2008 when some of us were discussing how women in that age group were being passed over for assignments even though they still looked great. One thing led to another and photographer Andrew Gellert, of Mesa, Arizona, took the initiative of editing the book. It did so well, we decided to do it again...and again.

As many of you are already aware, Andrew passed away on September 29, 2011, with a third edition pending. His brother gave me permission to continue the project. Here are Andrew's guidelines: [begin quote]

The theme for the next book is Mature & Sexy and Fashion.

Hold on... Did he say Fashion? Yep.. he did.

Here it is...

Fashion defined as follows:

Leather, Lace, Silk, Satin, PVC, Latex, Rope, Feathers.

The Sexier the better.. NO NUDES, NO Topless, No Nipples, NO Genitalia,
and NO Bondage.

Classy, Sexy and Mature.

Racy, Rebellious and Romantic.

Sexy, Scintillating and Seductive.

Pick your pleasure, it's all about the Sexy and Mature woman over 40 and
her seductive and sexy best fashions.

Fully dressed to thrill or laced up in the finest lingerie, you decide,
you design or you imagine...

Give it your sensual and seductive and sexiest looks in whatever erotic
and sexy fashions you like.

[end quote]

The conditions are:

* All pictures submitted must have never been published before, either in print or on the web. (And this includes here on MM or Facebook)

* All pictures submitted must have been taken in 2011 or 2012.

* The turn-in date will be May 31, 2012.

Technical specs:

Must be .jpg image
sRGB color
300 ppi is required
2400 pixels X 3000 pixels (approximate size)
No watermarks please.. (Photographer and models names will be printed under the image.)

E-mail for submissions only:

jeff@nightwingphoto.com

Please make sure your email includes names of Model and Photographer for each image along with MM# if on MM.

Jeff, as I mentioned in my email reply to you, I would definitely still be interested in participating in this project.

If there are any 40+ models in the NC area that would also like to collaborate and participate in the effort, feel free to drop me a msg!

I would love to participate; however, since I've taken on the field of art nude modeling, I have very few photos with sexy outfits. I have a few with lingerie in my port you could check out and see if they fit the mold. Let me know.

Glad I happened to see this post.  I hadn't heard about Andrew's death---how sad.  I and a NY photographer will be submitting pics before the deadline.

Can a model work with two separate photographers and they both independently submit pics for inclusion in the book?  Just wondering as one is a designer as well as a photographer.

Ms. Crimson, EVERYTHING in your 'Glam and Lingerie' fits the mold! All the non-nudes in this album are a perfect match.

And my compliments to you on the work you've obviously put into maintaining your physique.

Thanks for your interest -- and your potential submissions.

Yes, two separate photographers is fine. What I'm trying to do is limit it to running a max of five photos per model, per photographer. I'm after a diversity of shooting styles as much as a diversity of models.

Thanks for your support, Tony; and I'll be looking forward to seeing your submissions of this model. I'm sure there are others in the Dayton area, although it's tough to smoke 'em out sometimes.

I'll be in Dayton (on a 40+ shoot, of course!) once my bum knee heals, would you be up for a brief visit?

Yes, Andrew died from a heart attack.

We weren't able to locate all of the contributors to this edition, so I've tried to contact everybody from the previous thread who expressed any kind of interest. I hope you'll join us, too.

Thanks, Tony. I'm going to be having surgery on my knee in a few weeks so between that and everything else going on, I won't be making as many trips as I anticipated; but towards the end of January I hope to get out there again.

i feel passed over.    but i think it's more because i live in a small town here in Arizona and there don't seem to be too many photographers out this way.   i even changed my profile to nearby Tuscon in hopes to get seen more.   but even Tuscon is tiny compared to some of your bigger U.S. cities (i'm from Berlin, Germany).

anyways, i'd love to be a part of something like this.   but... i have no one to shoot me.

Petra, I wish you were closer, too!

(Talk about small Arizona towns, I used to live in Gila Bend!)

I just did a search and MM has 21 photogs listed for Sierra Vista and over 400 for Tucson. Have you considered posting a casting call?

Bonnie, we'd love to have you join us. You have a great and diverse portfolio. And if you were in the western edge of PA instead of the eastern parts, I'd be glad to get some shots myself!

What a coincidence -- I just did a shoot with CrystalAngel a week or so ago for this! I haven't been in Dayton for a while so I don't know the scene, but if you post a casting call, or browse models and contact them, I'm sure you'll get something going.

Thanks for joining us on this.

Lori, you have a fantastic portfolio and we'd love to have you submit some photos. If it weren't for the 3000 miles between us, I'd do this shoot myself! But if you have any from 2011 that would qualify, or you plan on doing any shoots before January 31 of next year, that would be great.

With the slow pace of submissions -- and the fact that I got started on this so close to the holidays, I'll be pushing back the deadlines. Feel free to send 'em in as you get 'em.

And Merry Christmas (and other seasonal holiday greetings) to all!

Hope you can use what I have emailed...it's so sad that Andrew has passed away...and so great that you are carrying on the wonderful tradition of showing how mature women
can still look great in the prime of life.

Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a super New Year.

I am interested in this project, however I would need a great and daring photographer as I am disabled. I have never let it stand in my way but I'm  uncertain there are photographers with the same resolve.

If someone is interested, you can read my profile and view my portfolio here on mm. I just turned 40 in November.

I live about 40 miles East of Pittsburgh, PA, in a town called Mount Pleasant.

Thank you,
Loria Harrison
