The effect in this shot is very soft and calming and I like the colour tones however her skin colour on her feet is a lot paler than her upper half which is a little strange. Her expression is quite defensive for such a serene setting, its either a good contrast in the mood of the image or the two elements clash against each other. I think probably a clash, do you have a softer expression from this shoot?

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111120/18/4ec9b0f70827a_m.jpg

I like the idea behind the shot having a full body image behind a closer image from the same shot. It means you can have two good pics from the same set in your port without losing variety. The extracting is pretty good however I probably wouldn't have feathered the front image so much as her jaw line looks a little fuzzy.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110418/17/4dacdd59a0d09_m.jpg

This shot is gorgeous the only thing I would change is making the editing on her eyes less obvious (only a tiny bit on the whites of the eyes) as it looks a little unnatural being so white when the rest of the image is toned down a little. =]

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111004/17/4e8ba15d1f09a_m.jpg

the lighting on this models face is lovely and her eye contact is strong

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110610/16/4df2a399a7540_m.jpg

above is the best image in your port in my opinion, this image is lovely so natural and beautifully edited =]

If i were to remove any images I would remove this one below because the reflection is false, her hair would stop her face from being visible in the reflection and I dont think the floor would reflect like this.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110622/03/4e01c4658c033_m.jpg

I think you have a lot of potential and you obviously understand how to use light effectively. If you would like me to further critique your port by going through and commenting drop or keep in your port I will do. depends if you're happy with my opinion =]

ok here goes!

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120212/13/4f382a63f0a0b_m.jpg

above ^ beautiful expression, skin and lighting in this image it hints at a story and is very well finished. the composition is spot on and the detail in the fur and your hair shows nicely.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120212/02/4f3795c4eb800_m.jpg

I will be honest in saying I dont think this picture is your best. I understand the contrast in the image making it a more edgy alongside your expression but from reading your profile I know you have good skin and don't feel it needs to be hidden behind overexposure. Your expression makes me feel a little awkward I can't really explain that one. because of your pose with your shoulder up and your arm bent, your arm looks quite short. However, I do like the simplicity of the shot and love that you are showing off your curves.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120206/11/4f302a895ae8b_m.jpg

This shot is funky and I love the colours but the blown out highlights on your jacket make it hard to focus positively on the image as a whole.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110807/05/4e3e8a41983a8_m.jpg

This one is beautiful I love your pose, it's simple and shows your curves off well. I love that you are not looking at the camera and the shape of your hair and positioning of your wrists add complimentary curves which suit the swirls in the background. The lighting is soft and the blanket on you is lovely. =] My favourite.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110420/11/4daf2a07d753f_m.jpg

This one is fun but is probably my least favourite. I don't think it is bad, Just not my cup of tea and not sure if it fits well in your portfolio. I would keep the other one of you in the same outfit in but minus the fake swirly thing above your head to be honest.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110810/06/4e4287c097962_m.jpg

above, this one shows off your skin well and I like the contrast and colours used. Strong image.

Hope you are happy with my feedback, it is of course just my opinion.

Thanks so much for taking the time to review my port in such detail.  I'll certainly take your opinions into consideration.  I find myself compelled to comment:

Photo 1: Great catch w/ the foot color.  It's likely the way some of the ambient light made it lighter, but certainly worth reviewing / correcting in post.

Photo 2: Another good catch around the jawline.  Not from extraction/feathering however; likely resulting from some liquefy shaping.  I'll certainly note for the future.

Photo 3: Clearly, you studied these images pretty well.  I appreciate your attention to detail.  Agreed... too much on the eyes.

I'm so glad you liked photos 4 & 5. smile

Last photo: I have to call you out on this one.  This is a real floor, real model, and real reflection with almost no post processing. Sometimes angles can fool even the most discriminating eye. smile

Thanks again for your review.  Feel free to dive deeper on my portfolio anytime you want to.  Your honest opinion is always welcome, whether in the forum or via PM.

Hi,

Here goes:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/101021/19/4cc0f73234dfe_m.jpg

This may be something that just bugs me but no hands or feet in the shot makes you think 'I wonder what shes doing with her hands and feet' rather than concentrating on the image as a whole. I maybe would have lit the llama so she was the same exposure or brighter than the background. The busy background distracts the eye a little from the llama especially as it is brighter.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/101020/08/4cbf0aabe876e_m.jpg

Nice natural shot. nicely lit, no shadows or highlights dotted on her face. The llamas skin is not overly photoshopped and the background is good, shows the location and emphasizes that it is a bikini shoot. Your best shot in my opinion. Technically well shot.

If I were to remove any of your images it would be this one:
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/101121/08/4ce942a3563e9_m.jpg

I just don't like the pose with her buttock being squished and think it looks a little soft porn like.

You have some nice locations and llamas to work with. Some of your images are a little flat, maybe experiment when lighting your llamas to make them stand out from the background. Your photos aren't bad but to push them to the next level you may need to do something new. when you shoot a full body image make sure its not a full body minus the feet or other limbs. I find usually defining a shot as full body or a headshot keeps the focus on what I am trying to say with my images, then I can alter the angle or perspective to jazz it up a bit =]

Hope this helps!

Bonjour!

First of all your Avi screams professionalism. Love it.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120329/17/4f74fda2990b5_m.jpg

This one, stunning. Love your expression and the pose. Nicely lit also.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120329/17/4f74fd5a141bd_m.jpg

These are so different and I love the makeup. This may have more of an impact on your portfolio if you just chose the best one and posted as a single image, it would show up bigger in thumbnail view with a portrait orientation as one image. (I would chose bottom row, middle image)

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110930/20/4e86902881e54_m.jpg

you have great bone structure as shown in this image but I think you could cut down on the number of similar head shots in your port to add quality and reduce quantity.

I would possibly remove this one because it's quite similar to the one above in colour and styling:
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110930/20/4e868fcb9dab5_m.jpg

I would also choose the newspaper dress shot over the one of you sitting in the same set as I thinks its stronger and don't think you need two from the same shoot.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120327/20/4f72878a33012_m.jpg

I'm not sure on the placement of this image in your port, the image next to it is almost the same pose with slight variation of hands and is even shot with the same framing (from thighs upwards) kinda looks like you've stayed the same but your clothes have changed when seen in thumbnail view.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111211/14/4ee52c7e4cb45_m.jpg

This one is gorgeous love the framing, your eye contact, the retouching and the makeup. not sure why it is slightly underexposed but still like it. =]

Hope you are happy with my advice

Sorry to start on a negative but there is too much negative space in this image in my opinion.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/101224/22/4d1591faa2db3_m.jpg

This one the lighting isn't great there is a very harsh shadow behind their heads which isnt very flattering. Plus the hand from the right looks a little out of place.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120211/07/4f3688db21d75_m.jpg

The models pose is strong in this shot and the framing is nice also. The black and white effect is well executed and there is a nice contrast throughout the image. Her skin looks great too. =]

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111113/09/4ec002fc776f6_m.jpg

I would choose one or the other b/w or colour of this shot and just use your favourite =] (both good)

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110103/12/4d222d27d8ea2_m.jpg

I'm sorry but the framing and background lighting in this one isn't very well done, but it is good to experiment and using seperation of light can look great in the studio once mastered =]

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110821/13/4e516de753d9d_m.jpg

This photograph is so out of focus it lets your portfolio down, however it does have potential, can you reshoot this model and style?

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100621/08/4c1f8102d569a_m.jpg

nice even lighting in this image.

Overall I think you need to work on your lighting to boost your portfolio work. Some of your pics in the studio look like snapshots and it would be beneficial to remove from your portfolio.  I think you have the right idea and have a strong model to work with (The blonde lady)
If you want further advice on which pics to remove from your port to increase your quality please feel free to message me and i'll do drop and keep for you in the pic comments.

Thanks for taking part.

This one is a professional looking shot great choice for your avatar. You have tiny hands! not a bad thing just an observation =]
As a photographer I would have edited the flare to the right of your head and made the door the same colour as the rest of the wood. Other than that the lighting is nicely balanced. and more importantly, you look great!

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120409/14/4f834f2e03622_m.jpg

Ok so at 5 foot 3 this is not the best pose for you as it makes you appear short. The lighting and styling is nice though, do you have any other shots from this session with a more flattering pose?

I really like this one of you: (for some reason it doesn't have mm forum code so I'll post the link

This ones gorgeous! (again theres no mm forum code) love the lighting and your pose, shows your curves off to perfection =] my fav in your port.

my least favourite is this one because you already have bed photos and this one just doesnt show you off as well as the other:

lets start with this one:

As you can tell im in your beauty/portrait album. I chose this one as a good example for your skin retouching and lighting. Very nicely done.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/101004/20/4caa981f79eee_m.jpg

This one however is not very well photoshopped when it comes to the skin, there are no visible pores and her forehead and cheeks look really unrealistic.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111104/14/4eb45c7a3bb61_m.jpg
this model is fierce! I do like this shot but think that its positioning in your portfolio isn't great, the two image either side are clearly from the same shoot and are similiar with the pose and perspective.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111104/15/4eb467a3563be_m.jpg

love this shot. A great shot of the model not looking at the camera. nice composition and point of interest with her hair blowing behind her. =]

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110930/16/4e8650237a4af_m.jpg
Love the lighting in this shot very well balanced.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110321/20/4d881170630a9_m.jpg

not sure on the off centre spotlight in the background. would have been better behind the models head.

All your pics are pretty good. This next one has some strange connotations of body odour and I would consider reposting a similar shot or just keeping the other in from the same session.

Gorgeous. That model's expression is fantastic, I love her hair and the black and white effect is very nicely done. Great composition and framing also.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110818/07/4e4d227da6337_m.jpg

Beautiful model but to my eye she looks stuck onto the image. I don't think she suits the location but she is very nicely lit.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120109/12/4f0b5170708ae_m.jpg

Great beauty shot love the colour tones and the makeup is great. Very nicely retouched.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111230/11/4efe0a53c704f_m.jpg

Great fun Image!

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120226/14/4f4ab6b764e16_m.jpg

Not so keen on this one because of her expression and the harshness of her hair edge against her neck on the left hand side.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120310/14/4f5bd108d4334_m.jpg

Beautiful focus and retouching on this image.

You are a strong photographer. Based on these images I would say your studio portraits are your strongest images.

gorgeous shot for beauty/advertising.

This image is fantastic but it does not fit with the rest of your images.

I'm not too keen on this picture the lighting on the subjects is quite flat and I don't understand the link between the couple and the lake bed or why they are barefoot.

I would maybe make three albums if you plan to keep your portfolio as it is one for runway one for fashion and one for portraits such as the water one.

I think you have a lot of potential and should definately keep working with experienced models to get some more pics in your portfolio =]

Hello,

Here we go:
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/27853060

Sadly this one wont link via the forum. I really don't know what to say about this image. I would remove it if it were my portfolio, a puzzle piece missing that has your nipples on? seems a little ridiculous. Sorry, but I want to be honest! It is very unprofessional in my opinion.

I would also remove this one if you want to be taken seriously as a model:
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/27891172

This one is one of two pics You should choose your favourite and delete the other there's no need for two of the same pic =] see below

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/27944684

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/27782213
The above is actually a very nice picture I would love to see more pics like this on your portfolio.

The photographs you have in your port with this man in them all have him holding your breast rather strangely in his hand. The only genre I could place these images in is soft porn I'm sorry but thats really what it looks like.
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/27498249

The next shot is fun and nicely done.

The next shot is a good one, your expression is great.

I'm afraid your portfolio is giving lots of mixed messages, some of them a bit worrying! I would happily help you sort out your portfolio using comments saying drop and keep so you can remove the not so good shot and show your talent off. You have a lot of potential you have a great figure and a gorgeous face. If you can, work with professional photographers and avoid doing sexually intended images. unless of course thats what you're aiming for.

Thanks for taking part.

Hi,

Lets start with one of my favourites from your port:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110727/19/4e30c5cace38a_m.jpg

Love the pose, movement and quirky model. Great framing, lighting and styling. All round great shot. It may be a little over sharpened and some may have a problem with her tummy being all squished but I like it.

Ok so this one is a strong image. If I were you I would delete the two others from this same shoot (or choose one fav) as people are only likely to click on one from the set.

fantastic shot, strong model, balanced lighting and colours in the image as a whole. The only thing that lets it down is the image quality.

This one bugs me because it has heaps of potential but I don't understand why she has 'love' written on her face, is it the clothes designer's name or something? I would have moved her left hand slightly more away from her face to avoid the nail in the eye connotation too. Technically your work is good but I think if you are going to do conceptual photography you need to work on your meanings =]

Where did this picture come from? it does not fit with your portfolio, although it is a nice editorial shot, do you have a website you could put it on instead?

This next one is a really strong image but it appears to be over sharpened.

What is CED? Does it have anything to do with sex or sex with lots of men? I'm not sure on these pics, the CED that's written on your model doesn't look professional and you can hire body painters if you want professional looking results =]

This ones great love the location, model, pose and lighting.

You have alot of landscape orientated headshots all shot in the same way really close together and some are duplicates, maybe sort through these and just keep a couple of the best ones and position them away from each other in the port to keep maximum variety.

This model looks really nervous in all the pics I've seen of her in your portfolio. But technically this shot is fantastic.

I hope this advice helps you and you aren't offended by my honesty!

Thanks for taking part

Too late? I really need some help...

Hello

I like your pose and expression in this image however it looks as if the photographer has lit a wall and told you to stand against it rather than lighting you as the main subject (basically, the lighting isn't great)

This one's massively over exposed and you look like you are about to sneeze, sorry, got to be honest =]

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120401/02/4f781e2e6e0db_m.jpg

You look fantastic in this shot however the lighting is terrible and your toes have been cut off by the photographer maybe work with more photographers to find one who can show you off to your best.

Very dark image. Doesn't really do anything except document your rock hard abs tongue

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120313/02/4f5f1a1d8b2ec_m.jpg

You look bored in this photo, beautiful but bored.

Similar to another shot just photographed differently I would keep this one in based on expression and the other one is too similar in location to the one next to it.

You look very unimpressed in this next one:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120313/02/4f5f1900cf451_m.jpg
You look great in this one. It has the potential to be stunning with a little bit of photoshop under the eyes and a tighter crop =]

I hope you are happy with my critique

Thanks for taking part.
