Oh, drat. I thought this was going to be about "Elite Israel." (The bought the name from Elite and run a model-paid portfolio mill.)

Assuming their motive isn't just to get you naked, there are a lot of scams going on, in some of the more common scams, they'll tell you that you need to have a portfolio taken and they inform you that ABC does their portfolio work. The photos will be extremely expensive and the agency won't find you any work. The scam is that ABC photographer is behind the scam and the scam is in the overpriced photos

How ironic. Some people say that using a phone is old fashioned.
Some people argue that email is dead, and that technologies like Skype and Twitter are the way business is conducted in the "modern age." Even FB is supposed to be on its way out.
This thread is a result of that naive mentality. People unfamiliar with how business is currently conducted, think that multimillion dollar companies will do business through such unreliable and relatively new technologies.
Technological innovation is not always an improvement.

It would have been quicker to phone the real Elite and ask them if they have a Jane Stewart. That also would have put you in the situation of being able to chat with the real Elite.
Model agencies do talk to models about weight, when considering what range of markets the model should aim for, however to bring it up before actually interviewing a model says "scam" to me, because I doubt someone would interview someone who doesn't fit the criteria.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THIS IS REAL OR NOT BEFORE I GO FORWARD WITH THIS.. EMAILS ARE BELOW.
" Im a recruiter but NOT an agent. The beauty of that is I don't take any of your pay as all agencies do (usually 20%). The client pays me ONLY when you get hired so you and I work as a team. They pay you directly via paypal or direct bank wire to your account before or at time of shoot. The US dollar is very weak right now internationally therefore the European clothing companies I hire for prefer to have American models, saving money and avoiding travel costs. I hire for all kinds of clothingand also some promotional print work. All pay very well and no taxes taken out since you are technically working internationally. We contract a photographer within 50 miles of where you live to take all the shots of you and we pay them directly, doesnt cost you anything. The clients I hire for send the clothing and posing instructions to you to wear in the shoot. You also get to keep all the clothes! All of my models love that.. I just had a UCLA student buy her first car after a month of work, did about 11 jobs for $6000. It was a lot of shots but basically short time. Not bad for one month.I have about 18 positions available currently. You need a digital camera to audition and do practice runs for whatever spot you are interested in. I know its a lot of info, just let me know what you think and if you are interested."
I recived this email from

> Director of Talent, Euro Division
> Benvenuto Cellini 25, 72100
I was offered this and I dont know if this is real or not. I replied back telling her i was interested and that I would love to look in to this opportunity and this is what I got back from her.
"Here are some spots that are open, most of the printwork has been booked until mid May but these pay great. I currently have 2 piece string bikini for LA warez pays $350. Francese lingerie which is boyshorts, thongs, thigh highs, bras, no face shown in shots $650. Athletic underwear which requires some limber poses so I prefer ex gymnasts, dancers, cheerleaders $550 and themed print which is babydoll outfits for Japanese line. Plaid skirts, pigtails, all that. $500. Last is parts modeling for underwear line, basically a of rear and front sectional shots. $750. Another is for a foreign pet rescue like PETA, pays $1000 and is artistic.I also have a spot with Aerie in the works and Bebe. Let me know, thanks "
I then asked again how to get started and that i was down to do theses shoots. she replies with this..
"Cassidy, those are a great fit for you!
For now lets start with basic body check shots for sizing and wardrobe choice. I am required by the clients to review for any scars/tattoos/blemishes before paid final shots even if you say there aren't any. It isn't a problem, they just dont like surprises.
Send me 4 shots in a bikini, half front. half rear, wear heels, hair down, smile big, lots of light and large file sizes.Take 6 identical shots in thong/bra/heels/pigtails only, heavy lip gloss and smile big.
Lastly take 4 Fully nude shots, front, back, each side with arms over your head please. I delete all shots after review for your privacy.I will pull the sheet for the spotsyou want to audition for after these body check shots. A digital cam or phone camera is fine, you can even set up your phone and take a video changing wardrobe if easier.. Have fun and be yourself
Also, as a bonus through May, we are including a Coach or Apple store gift card when hired for three jobs or more so please let me know which you prefer."
okay so shes asking for nudes so Im really hesitant because I don't know if this is legit she gave me the web site to look up the modeling management agency that she works for " http://elitemodel.fr/ " so I looked at it .. it looks legit

Yeah, because the bookers at Elite NY have time for that. And as if llama Mayhem didn't already have a bad enough reputation with commercial agencies without llamas on here calling them and informing them that their brands are being used for scams. I would not advise.

No, it is not real. Don't go forward with it, unless you feel like getting naked for a total stranger online and having that on the internet forever.

Not sure if you guys want to keep such an old thread alive... but just thought of adding my 2 cents"
As someone once said: I've never fooled anyone, I let people fool themselves. No one gets fooled without their consent. And when we allow others to fool us, it's often due to our greed, or being desperate.
If you believe someone can offer you the world on a silver tray, for free, then it's your own problem. Don't blame anyone but yourself. People are looking for opportunities and dreaming of big things. Crooks and scammers feed on our greed. Wanting so much, without giving much back, or working hard for it. If you want Elite, or any other Top agency to contact you, then work on creating a good portfolio, then go ahead, contact them and send your portfolio. Logging on your Skype account won't get you Elite!
MM will not get you far. It can only help you build a portfolio so you can take it to next level. Again: YOU TAKE IT. No one will come here and ask for it. This goes for models and photographers (MAU, Stylists, etc) alike.
You KNEW this was fishy, weird and unrealistic. But you wanted to believe it any way.
