I have posted a few photos to Photo Vogue and have only had one chosen.  This site is great because I get immediate professional criticism of my work and it challenges me to take more intriguing photos.

2011 one of work's was choosen from the top 100 which was exhibited by Vogue  in Millan Moreno , gallery display for 2 weeks. Plus invited for the Catwalk but couldn't make it.
Also I have been close with the Italian Vogue. Actually this is my first time in forums posting my Vogue profile, I guess lots of my other publications include Taco Bell , to Subway etc. kepted with me. because dealing publicly with forums its has very neg results -gossips an inferiority
Is what happens most. MM is one of the best site but it can be better.
Still love you all:)

I hope MOP not missleading about forums. My apologies if any misunderstanding.

I've submitted 4 but only had one approved. The first 3 were lifestyle images and this was the 4th. Go figure.

They've only accepted the couple landscapes I've put in. Didn't care for the fashion or abstract work.

Well I've done much better on there than when I posted this!  I have 6 on there now, and all with models! I always submit my landscape work, but they never pick that.  I guess I'm no good at that tongue

Their style is hard to pin down, but the short answer is it needs to invoke a emotion in their photo editor.  Not much help is it smile but she doesn't limit it much beyond that.  There have been a few FAQ posted on the site about it, including a recent one showing some of what she didn't like.

I have been surprised by their selection of mine, since I believe they left out better photos than the ones chosen.

You are not alone in finding their choices hard to understand.

I find they they routinely take the 2nd best images and it is not just my opinion - when I show a set to other photographers and to the models involved, they are always surprised at the choices.

I have the impression fashion is difficult to get selected last couple of months...but occasionally it works ...maybe because they are not photoshopped...

It's more art, than fashion.  I think most of the photos they pick would never make it into any Vogue magazine.  To me, it's more of a marketing ploy than anything else.

For those having trouble defining what they look for check out the pics of the day. Most of what they use in shows and print seem to come from those. http://www.vogue.it/photovogue/en/Portf … /PicOfDay/

I does really seem random, and NOT fashion oriented.  It's more architecture, art, and landscapes that are emotional.

Measured in pixels, height & width, what is a good size of image to submit?

I looked through the FAQ and a few other places. All the references I found was to file sizes and D.P.I. settings. I want to know how many pixels high and wide would be appropriate for a submission.

Most of the images on their site are limited to 440 pixels high and 660 pixels wide, but maybe they like getting larger images so they can inspect the quality more easily, and they don't mind to shrink them for web publication? I just don't know what they prefer.

I saw plenty of fashion photos, but they also had a wide variety of other types of images represented as well. Personally, I really like the fact that they aren't narrowly focused.
