Hey guys, I need newer samples and would like to offer to do a little bit of work for a model or photographer in exchange for the samples, but don't want to make a thread in those sub-forums. Don't want it to look like spam or anything.
Is there anywhere specific I should make that offer? Thanks.

Casting calls, if you don't want to use the Contests and Samples forum.

You could also look to other websites. When I was younger and just starting to learn to retouch on my own I would go to websites like Flickr or DeviantArt and use images where the photographer said you were allowed to edit their image. Once doing so I'd often show them the final result and let them know that I was only using it for practice. If I ever reposted it I would ask first for permission then include my edit next to the original and give the original photographer the credit they deserved. I never attempted to make any profit off of it, it was just for experience.

Please stop making multiple threads on the subject and READ THE RULES theres lots of info available.
If you're looking for work, you can use the casting/travel section:
or use this Retoucher resource thread in the market place to advertise your availability:
Best of luck.

Why don't you just look at the hundreds of threads in the Challenges forum? There must be thousands of pictures to choose from. Many of the photographers who post do not mind if you use your retouch work of their photos as samples on other sites, as long as you ask them first. The rules are usually in the first post. In any case, the rules also state that you are, by default, allowed to use your retouch of their photos here in your MM portfolio, if nowhere else.
