I think there was a flip to the feminism in the early 90's to a 'new' take on it where the adoption of the 'other' mindset that I kinda call the "victoria's secret" view. Here I think that women thought that it was their choice to suddenly elect to wear all the garb, (which most likely is just good marketing and consumerism and not much more.) Then, of course they may not realize that hugging someone with so much engineering and construction going on in their undergarment is like hugging a brick silicone boobed person of the earlier days! My view is that unless the bra is part of the look, then no bras. I want the model's natural figure. If she isn't comfortable with that then we don't shoot.

I've actually had plenty of occasions where a bra, or for that matter, underwear, disrupted the lines of a dress. Something like this Or, Which is not to say that the rants demanding a model take off her bra when she's not comfortable have merit. If it's an issue, get a different model, or a different outfit. For a paid / client / agency shoot, such things should be sorted out in advance.

If I was to wear no bra at all, it would have made me look flat.

It can work either way, depending on the dress, and the woman. But, sometimes, no bra looks better. As I said, same can be true of underwear, especially if the dress, or pants, are clingy.

My breast sag and I'm on 23. I wear a bra all day every day to keep them from sagging more. In fact, I lost about 3 shoots because of my horrible breast. That's not a good self-esteem booster. BUT when I shoot nudes of course the bra is off. You can't shoot a nude with a bra on. I had a photographer show me certain ways I can stand/lay to make my breast look perkier. If they are clothed shoots then my bra is on the entire time. I don't have bra lines, guess I'm just lucky like that

I don't know where some of you people get your info, but any girl wearing a mini this side of the pond with no knicks (unless she's a B-list celeb out for attention) will be pilloried as a 'slapper' ('ho' in US vernacular, I believe)... Remember that apart from the Netherlands, Scandinavia and the UK, most of Europe is still technically catholic and while most girls don't even know where the nearest church is, let alone attend on a regular basis, some habits die hard...

I also find the change over time interesting. In the 70s and early 80s it was common for women to throw on a tank top with no bra and think nothing of it. Today, I come across young women who think they are more liberated than their predecessors, yet not only wear a bra, but feel they need to layer on 3 tank tops if they are going to be seen in public. I don't think it's just bras, but body acceptance in general that has changed.

OP, only thing for you left to do is to call them 'funbags' and there will be offcial beatings. No more tits for you! *sticks tongue out*

No more tits for you! *sticks tongue out* Admittedly we do think Socialism is a bit right-wing, hate handguns, eschew showers in favour of a dry wipe once a week, cultivate armpit-hair, only brush our teeth on public holidays and routinely burn witches for the fun-factor... I like an unfettered pair of 'jubblies' as much as the next bloke, but since it's interweb modelling and not 'real' modelling, quite a lot of the girls booked through this and other sites need a bit of support...if they're willing to 'get 'em out' in the first place that is... lots of models here in Germany only offer 'dessous' (lingerie) rather than nude or implied and most of them appear to be 30+... ...take my new Avi - lovely girl with really gorgeous boobs - and not a chance in hell of doing anything interesting involving 'less clothes'...

And they are not big to where they have to have support. They have the droopies, sad to say, and as I said, it isn't a matter of age. Just wander around ports on MM and you'll see this quite frequently. There is no "grade" of breast quality that must be achieved for a woman to be able to go braless. This type of thought is to be expected from boys MY age (I'm 17), not adults who claim to be artists. You sound like a child. xo

I'm from the Netherlands, and dressing without undies is just as bad as it is in the USA, Germany, or wherever. I think it's really funny how a lot of people seem to think the Dutch are this very free folk! Smoking weed is condoned by our government, but in society it's still not a 'normal' thing to do and will be frowned upon. Doing hard drugs is definitely not okay. The church is still important for a lot of people as well, the southern part is catholic, the northern part is protestant. Back to the topic: I do wear bra's, eventhough I have a small cup. If I don't, and I run, jump, whatever, it hurts. I find it a lot warmer as well, and regular clothing fits a lot nicer, otherwise I'd just look like a 12 year old girl. If I'd do a shoot, wearing something that shows ugly bra lines, I'll take it off. If not wearing a bra doesn't add something substantial, I'm not taking it off.

Of course many of the women who burned them (no, not all) kept a few extra bras and wore one around - so there would be something to burn if they happened onto another demonstration, no doubt. Who remembers free love and nickle beers??
