I would not go past your avatar.  The expression is not enticing to me.  Rather, you look mad.  And a lot of hair in the face.  It is not an image that draws me in.  Sorry.

Absolutely.  You have a nice close headshot with great work.  It is attractive and it does make me want to see more of your work.  This is a good choice.   And it represents your port well.

I would not go past your avatar.  It is not something that catches my interest.  I just see a skinny guy with odd lighting.  Now I am not saying this is good or bad, but for me, it lacks the ability to catch my interest.  But, after looking at your port, it does represent what you do.  But my answer is no, sorry.

When I look at your avatar, I see a well lit attractive person.  Close enough I can see what you look like.  Very nice image, makes me want to enter your port.

your avatar is really strange.  It may cause people to enter just to see what you have.  But for me, I just jump over it.  I would not enter your port.

I don't care for the lighting.  It would turn me away.  However, something like this, would make me enter.

Pore lighting and a crazy expression.  Would not be my choice for an avatar.  When I browse through models, the avatar has to show me what they look like.  So a good clean headshot or upper body shot is the best.  I would bypass your port based on your avatar.

I will say maybe on this one.  If I am in a hurry, I would not stop.  If I have more time, I would click on it just out of curiosity.  Its a little dark and different.

I would not even stop long enough to look at the avatar.  It is way to busy.  I find these images irritating, and I immediately move on.

Thank you. No problem, I picked that avatar so only people who find it interesting would enter my port.

The one you are using is a little small and far back.  I have to really stop and look to see it.  So I generally pass ones like this up.

What I see is a blurry image.  And if the avatar is blurry, the rest of the port usually is as well.  So I would pass right on by.

I like this.  When I click on it and bring it up full size, it is an awesome shot.  However, it may be a little small on an avatar.  You can't see it good without really looking.  So this is one I would stop at if I had time, but if I was in a hurry, I would pass by.  It would be too bad if I didn't stop, because you have some great work.

Yeah, gum bichromate prints tend to look like that. But my wet plate collodion is sharp as a tack! It was just a little test...
