I don't do much in the way of editing myself, so I'm curious whether the flat lighting on this model can be corrected.

I think the overall contrast of the picture could be adjusted, but honestly... I rather like the lighting the way it is.  Sorry, just my opinion.  If it were me, I'd lighten up her hair a little, punch up the reds in her skin just a tiny little itty-bitty bit, and boost the contrast of the whole shot.
