Hi MM peeps
Im a new model with a handful of shoots under my belt, and looking to improve my work, so thought i would open it up to the masses and get your views, I havent heard anything bad so far but maybe they were just being nice.
Thank you in advance.

At this point, it seems like you should work on improving your portfolio to better reflect you and lift it to a higher level by working with photographers who produce work on a higher level.

The mirror is your friend, make love to the mirror, make goofy to the mirror, make mad to the mirror, make stupid Vogue'y lip looks to the mirror... In other words, work on every expression you've ever seen in a magazine!:-)

Since you asked...
Your portfolio of images should should show you off... Shots with masks on, or from the back not showing your face don't help photographers much (How do I know that's you?)... we want to see what YOU look like!
Just my opinion.

sorry but much of your port folio is really bad- lacks any kind of artistry. Your avatar shot is so unflattering I am surprised you used it. I would avoid shooting with a white background and shoot more in living rooms. From the white striped shirt pic on down is better. But it also looks like a big weight fluctuation between your top row and bottom rows. I would advise to keep the photos consistent and the port accurate.

I'm sorry to say that people have been fibbing to you. Some of your images are particularly unflattering and won't do you any good in your port (or on your website). You need to be MUCH more selective about who you work with for your port. This is essential for you to learn how to model competently - as you're clearly struggling with that at the moment.

I think this is your best image in your port. I think if you keep doing shots like this you will be much happier. You seem most comfortable here. Don't shoot what you think others want, shoot what you want and what makes you happy.
On that note, find better photographers. Also if you do want to shoot the lingerie, find more flattering apparel. I think a corset would look great on you. Like previously suggested, work the mirror. Practice facial expressions and poses in a mirror. The most you do it the more natural they will come to you during a shoot.
Best of luck.

ok im taking what you're all saying, honestly im not trying to flatter my shape, im a size 14, i have stretchmarks, lumps and bumps im trying to embrace those not hide from them, my modelling work is about showing what you have and being beautiful and sexy anyway. i dont go near retouching.
