Folks,
I have just attended Bruce's Masterclass in London and will recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their photography in the fashion genre.
We shot some fabulous models and had the services of an amazing makeup artist, Michelle from Court on Camera, and the services of Joey Bevan who arranged the fantastic styling for us.
Most of all the other 'model' related courses in the UK you can practically teach yourself by trawling through various online sites. Bruce teaches you that something not readily available online as well as teaching you about your timing, workflow, client requirements etc etc etc.
Hopefully this is within the realms of acceptability for MM but do feel this needs a good plug. I learnt a great deal from it and thought i would let others know how i feel.
This is a totally unsolicited post. Anyone can feel free to contact me for any further info if required.

Sure is worth the trip.  I have had photographers come from all over the world from Alaska to Jakarta.

Best regards

I have been tempted but the price tag also buys a lot of studio time/team.

Thanks for the appreciation Drew but I realise am still not up there with the big boys yet. Bruce really made me think differently about my work.

Bruce is great at making your realise that expression is key and giving you some tools to get it.

I ditched my current folio 5 years ago when I went on one of his courses. I realised my shots had no expression at all.

I'm constantly amazed that photographers (including myself) miss this key ingredient.. but spend thousands on kit and lighting courses.

Maybe this thread should continue.

I like what I am reading.

If you feel like giving me a bashing for plugging my courses..  no I didn't start it no instigate it,

Many thanks to those that have shown their appreciation for what I have taught them.  I put as much into my teaching as I do my own shoots.

Regards to all

It sure does Phillip, however i know of a load of so called 'photographers' who even if they had all that, would cock it up royally as they havent got a clue otherwise.

But you did choose to resurrect it after 6 months and your loyal friend Alec bumped it again today.

There's fresh spam, there's stale spam and there's just plain old spam - no points for guessing which this is.

I had a model suggest I run some sorts of workshop class ... but what I know can be learnt of youtube and a few Google technical searches.

Light travels in straight lines what more does one need to know.

Chris, it's a good way for a model to bank a bit. Obviously, some photographers feel they really benefit from a specific focus. Expressions, for instance and different poses.

I am lucky. My friends. When it comes to cinematography, lighting, my friends here really know their world. My best friend's wife, exhibits in galleries, does documentaries, and another really great friend has directed films, commercials, shot with the lastest digital cameras, including the Red, and another very close friend has had his photos placed in magazines around the world, gets sponsored, and thus, workshops aren't a priority for me.

But I can see some use for people who don't have the kind of access I have here.

Hey Ash
Just for the record. I dont get on MM that often hence the late bump. Am also no loyal friend of Bruce's I met him once at the workshop and have since never really been in contact with him. I honestly thought that Bruce was worth a plug and if you feel its spam then thats entirely up to yourself and your narrow thought process.
Looking at the 4 pics you have, maybe you could benefit from a workshop or two!

Not your best fashion images. Much more fashion potential in your other images.

The best advice I got from a big fashion editor was that it's all about the woman.

Funny that you should bump this again (from, where was it, page 20?) just a few weeks before the date of another of Bruce's courses!

Somebody said this is the new Events Section where people who don't know about each other and have no ulterior motives like bumping the thread of them after 6 months!  Cool Beans!!!!!

I'm having a workshop in Peoria, Illinois in a couple of weeks and I'd love it if everyone would come, and I highly recommend my Workshop Series to anyone who wants to learn in the future!

It's ok to say that here isn't it... Bruce?  Since you aren't advertising anything in this thread you don't mind if other people recommend stuff too do you?  Because you know, we don't have any ulterior motives now do we?

That was way the hell out of line considering the Moderators have let you and Bruce get away with this advertisement cleverly disguised as a forum thread for this long.  Show some respect.

Good, I expect my next workshop banner to be up on your profile page by the end of the day.

Otherwise you can start putting your Workshop Ads here where they belong, like the rest of us do....
