I'm going for the record for most negative comments in a single topic.  I know there is a lot of goof balls out there that complain about a topic no matter what it is.  They have no common sense and try to make themselves feel better by putting other's down.  Here it goes: Why the hell are you posting cell phone pics and all around noisy, dark, crappy, unedited images as part of your port.  Really?  How disrespectful, on top of that you want to get paid how much to do a shoot with that kind of port.  You shouldn't get paid $5/hour let alone $50 to $100/hour to do a paid shoot.  No matter if it's nude or not.  You want to get paid to do a shoot, then set up a port worthy of getting paid for.  Something that shows your at the very least a little professional.

Which leads me to my next point:  Just because you can get naked doesn't mean you should and most definitively don't post them as part of your profile.  I am not the best or most talented photographer and I know that but I do have a port that is somewhat decent.  At least I have put an effort into making my port look good.  I would say it's in the top 40% of all photographer portfolio's on MM.  I am not a great editor, although I do dabble a little and I don't have boats load of money to pay people to properly edit my images.  I have seen some amazing images and really awesome photographer's on here and find it disrespectful when someone don't take the time to put forth a proper effort in creating a decent port.

There are so many photographer's that are willing to shoot for free there's no reason to post cell phone pics or images that are noisy, dark, and all around look bad.  If your a photographer doing this, then shame on you.  Take a little pride in your work and do some editing before posting.  You don't have to be a professional to have a decent port, you can just be doing this for fun and still look good.  Enough Said!!!

This is nothing wrong with cell phone pictures.  They can be fun, spontaneous, and aesthetically pleasing.  Sure, there are technical quality limitations, but I would rather look at an interesting picture than a boring but technically perfect picture.  Aesthetics are more important than technology.

When I went to school, back in the dark (pre-digital) ages, ...
...  Beginning students learned basic exposure & darkroom on film SLRs,
...  Intermediate students learned the Zone System & advance darkroom
techniques with 4x5 view cameras, and
...  Advanced students were given a $5, all plastic Diana camera with fixed
focus, 4 exposure settings, and typically some light leaks.

So, stop being snobby.  The camera is a tool, and a great photographer is an artist.

You don't get to decide who gets paid and who doesn't; you only get to decide whether you want to pay them or not.  But if they are getting people to pay them $500 an hour, more power to them.  If they aren't getting any job offers, they'll figure it out.  You don't have to inflict us with your prejudices.

That looks like the same point -- at least, the answer is the same.  If a model gets work posing nude, more power to them; if not, not.  You only get to decide whether you want to hire them.  Anything else is none of your business.

Also, there  are hobbyists on this site, many of whom don't care whether they get paid.  Leave room for them to exist.

If people in the bottom 60% put in more work, you might not be in the top 40% any more.

Do you really want that?

You should be encouraging people to work less, post more cell phone pics, and suck more.

That way, you might make it to the top 30%.
