I'm an artist as well as a model, do you guys know of any good artists?
I just need a pinch of inspiration.
I like people like Lucian Frued, David Hockney, Franz Marc. Lots of expression with colour.
Thanks! ^^

Not sure what art you are looking for in terms of inspiration...

This guy is not famous as a painter (surrealistic) just yet, but some curators predict a huge future for him.

Check out his stuff at ArtSlant.com

Dunno if it's your thing, but one of my favourite artists is Tony Scherman. I love encaustic, and if you've ever worked with it you'll appreciate his work even more.

My drawing instructor was trained by Lucian Freud ha ha.  She would always accuse me of using tricks and shortcuts...  I can list hundreds of artist - but I'll narrow it down to 3 :

Kehinde Wiley

Todd Schorr

Jean Michel Basquiat

I tend to prefer the work of living artists that have of yet reached their full potential.  Wiley is only 35 and at mid career - he is quite probably the most Successful American Artist of our time.  Not to mention his talks on Art are incredible.   Even though Schorr is in his 50's - he still produces work with all of the vigor of a man in his twenties...  Basquiat met his end in his twenties, dude left over a thousand paintings and a thousan drawings and he was a pure genius...

There is a show downtown at Basic Bar called Graffiti Denim 3. There will be lots of colors on denim with a whole lot of style.

I stumbled across the work of Keinyo White recently. I love his watercolour work.

Looking at the artists mentioned above was fun. I had some strong associations there, being from the 'Low Countries'.

Todd Schorr - Hieronymus Bosch (Jeroen Bosch)

Jean Michel Basquiat - Karel Appel (Cobra group)

Check it out. You'll see what I mean.
