Good Morning,
I recently found this on Smashbox's website and thought it would be a really good buy, but I wanted everyone's opinion first? This is the link to the product, http://www.smashbox.com/product/6109/23 … index.tmpl

It seems like a really nice kit, my only concern is that I don't think the individual colors are able to be replaced once you've used them... They don't seem like they are magnetic and I can't find the answer anywhere on the website. However, I think it would give me a good opportunity to try the different colors on myself and see which look best, that way I have an idea of which individual shadows, blushes, etc to order.

What do you guys think of Smashbox's products in general? The variety of color in their shadows seems wonderful, but do they last when applied and what is the pigmentation like? Any input?

Thank you!
Lauren Elizabeth

I love Smashbox!!
first off you should go to a store and play with it a bit, to see how YOU like the formula..
I got the other palette Master class recently and have another one called Soft lights I think which is one of the most used things I have in my kit.
You can't replace the shadows... but they last a LONG time.
I find that they stay on well, primer underneath etc... in a palette that big there are always gonna be colors you may never use but hey.. I'd say it's value for money esp if you want to try out colors.

Smashbox has a lot of great makeup...primers, foundations, concealer etc...check it out smile

i know i'm not a mua.

but i LOVE smashbox. I use their anti-shine.. cause mid-day my skin gets really oily and shiny. and the anti-shine stops it.. i have no more shiny-ness. i also use thier photofinish primer (the clear one) it feels like velvet when i put it on and gives me a smooth flawless base to add onto.

I love their HD Concealer! But I am deeply disappointed with their eye shadows. Loads of drop, and the payout is not ass good as you would expect for the price point. My Sleek eye shadows are MUCH better! Their brushes are fab as well. Xxx

I have a quick question to MUAs about the smashbox photo finish primer. I just got some today so I can play with it, but being inexperienced with makeup, I don't know the best way to apply it. Should I use a brush? Sponge? Any input would be appreciated!

I really love the smashbox Primer. It is best applied with a brush. The sponge will suck all the product in it.
I also have their hydrating primer, which I use only where my skin is lacking moisture ( which is very rarely) But great to have in a make up kit for shoots.

I am absolutely in love with Smashbox Eye Shadows, I haven't tried many of their products, but the shadows are in my top 3 brands.

I bought the Masterclass palette they had at Sephora Its AMAZING. The eyeshadows, the blushes and hightlighters and cream shadows along with lip glosses. If you can find this buy it it was only like $58.00.

^ THIS, YES.

You'd be surprised how much that palette condensed my kit. However, I'm not a huge fan of their foundations.
