Edit; just received an e-mail from someone who works in the real fashion industry after asking them have they ever heard of 'nude fashion'.

Their reply was ' Isn't that called naturism'.

Some would consider this "fashion nude" but what would I know?  I don't work in the "real fashion industry."  (18+)

Not original with me, but I think it sums it up pretty well:

A fashion nude is looking at you with an attitude that says, "F?!* you."

An erotic or glamour nude seems to be saying, "F?!* me."

Erm not really. I'm 18 and almost all my shoots are those genres. What's different about each one is the concept, the feel of it, the hair/make up, props and setting.

Anyone who says that they can't explain something to you because you are not capable of understanding it is no Einstein themselves.

Fine Art - human form as shape, curve, line, shadow.  Quite often the model is detached/not engaged with the viewer. Often black and white.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110607/20/4deeedc87e97c_m.jpg

Avante Garde - similar to fine art but may contain edgy elements, props and theatrical makeup. Model often looks depressed, detached or angst ridden because it just isn't avante garde to smile...smile

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120404/17/4f7ce1e274ff9_m.jpg

Fashion - same as clothed fashion but model may be topless/implied - model usually detached and emphasis is on the fashion/styling.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110607/15/4deea2a21f53f_m.jpg

Glamour - Sexy woman playing to (presumably) male viewer. Usually has 'come hither' look. Poses designed to accentuate breasts, legs, buttocks etc. but still stylized.  Themes tend to be rather cliched at times and design to appeal to men that want to look at 'hot' women.  Ranges from badly done and hokey to classy retro pinups and professionally lit and airbrushed work.  This genre attracts quite a few hobbyists and 'guys with cameras'.

Porn - no interest in art - just there to elicit response from viewer. Emphasis on private areas.

A good summation.

My avatar is color and I would consider it an art nude so definitely agree that art nudes aren't always black and white.

Most of the magazines referenced in this 'internet' list are print mags. You may even have heard of a few of them.

A blog with the title 'nudity in fashion' not nude fashion which would be naturism or Playboy lingerie.

There's always 'lifestyle nude' where it's about someone doing something 'everyday' but naked.

Based on that statement alone... is it safe to assume you are young as well?

Edit: I just peeked. I would think at 23 years old you could come up with something better than that. Maybe not.
