I've noticed lately that models I've worked with from this site often don't bother posting my photos on their profiles, or maybe just one, even though I edited quite a few for them. It was a little confusing as each model raved about the photos after the shoot. I finally asked one why they hadn't posted any of my photos here, they said they don't bother with this site much anymore, they post on Facebook and Instagram and get a lot more feedback. I checked other models I've shot, and that seems to be the case. Have you models started defecting too?

I post more pics on tumblr and facebook. I have a large following on FB and I get a huge response. I posted one pic last night and got 165 likes by morning.

I only have place for 15 shots in my portfolio here. Ofcourse I'm not going to post 6 photos from one shoot... I post more on facebook, but even there I like to keep it to a handful of pictures tops.

Tumblr is a great option. You can post as many and as often as you like...and they get seen by tons of other people in "this world". And...it's free!

You know, I'd never paid any attention to tumble, but your port looks great! Thanks for the tip!

Really?  I find models posting my images to their portfolio, comp cards, and agency sites often.  Maybe it has to do with where the models you are shooting get their work.

For my best of the best serious portfolio images, I post on here and on my website.

For sharing, I post on tumblr and deviantart and Facebook.

I send photos to my agency, put GREAT images on my comp card, and keep copies in my printed book, and post them here for the 'net crowd for networking.

I rarely post anything on Facebook and don't use any other social media sites.

unless it was (hard to imagine) contractually established that that be done, those who start such threads might ask themselves why they might feel a need for such to be done ... ?

I don't feel a "need", but it is nice for networking. I notice a lot of models I've worked with here have tags on their ports commenting on my photos, so they're getting traffic coming from my port. I realize now that it's just that a lot of models here don't see this as their most important networking site.

Siton, people here (models, photogs, and others) use the Mayhem for a LOT of different reasons, some perhaps more understandable than others; appears up to the individual user to find his or her place.

g'luck to you.

Depending on what the photos are I post them in these places:
http://www.zivity.com/models/dekilah
Specifically sets for the site, often I will post one or two photos from my self shot sets elsewhere to promote

http://www.Dekilah.com/
Generally the new work I post here is self portraits. I do have a portfolio as well, but my self portraits are the only ones I sell prints of and the ones I update most often as that is what I shoot most often.

http://dekilah.tumblr.com/
I try to post at least one photo from every shoot here, but often the photographers get me the photos so far after the shoot that I tend to have moved on since then and forget to post. I do post my newest self portraits here (usually within 24 to 48 hours of shooting them).

http://www.facebook.com/dekilah
Usually each photo I post on Tumblr gets linked here, I also try to upload any FB safe photos at the rate of a couple a week. Some of these are from older shoots and tend to be more based on my mood or something that is going on (example: holiday themed shoots).

As far as MM goes, I usually reserve that for the best of the best of the photos that I feel best represent me as a model. Very conceptual work generally does not go up here because it is not something I would likely recreate with someone else. I also will not usually put photos up here that outside of what I would normally shoot or normally be comfortable shooting. Erotica is a good example. There are so few photographers I will shoot erotica with and my limits are so specific that it is less complicated to just let the photographer post or exhibit those that they like. I will share them with my fan, but not on here.

I post only one or two on MM for a short time, but I post all that are edited and given to me on Facebook, with links to the person.

This whole site is declining... This site is nothing like it was a few years back. Facebook, Tumblr, and their own websites is where I see them posting.

When you upload to tumblr & Facebook, do you get feedback or jobs? Can you put nudes up?

No nudes on Facebook..  Lots of folks I know who don't post nudes but post "implieds" or even bikini work complain they get flagged, even temporarily suspended -- etc.

It's not what I use Facebook for, but to each his own.

I post pictures on here, Facebook, and tumblr.
Facebook and tumblr allow you to post more, though tumblr allows you to post NSFW images, though I personally don't have anything like that.
I get shoot offers from here, whether through MM messages or email. Facebook hasn't really helped in the booking jobs/shoots department though. If anything I just use it for sharing images I may not have posted on MM. Besides feedback and support, it doesn't do much else for me.
Same with tumblr really.
Plus, I never know which images I should be uploading to MM since I am of course biased toward myself. I try not to upload more than 2 images from each shoot (on MM).

Any image with a logo or watermark is virtually useless for an agency talent's book...
I have to deal with this... I do my very best to enhance a talent's look and when I receive a watermarked image I just can it... so tired of debating the merits of logo/watermarked images... for me it's useless... because of this I don't do test creatives anymore... paid work only... have plenty of marketing material...

that said, if given clean imagery I try to showcase the lens person's work provided it's of considerable merit... and I always credit the entire team...

David, trying to be helpful here...

That's unfortunate photographers won't give you images without watermarks. I generally watermark, unless a model or other creative request me not to. I decided to leave off my logo when a model mentioned they were posting to instagram (that's what got this thread started).

I post images on my website, FB and MM. It just depends on the images I get from the shoot. Also, models should have a varied port, so having 6-7 images from one shoot isn't always good, unless you got different look from the same shoot.

The models are trying to build a fan base (or maintain one) so usually just the very best photo they will display here. And they will put more on networking sites. Most of the fans don't care if the lighting is off or if she wasn't quite connected in the photo or her elbow is breaking the frame- they just wanna see someone they find beautiful. And they want to see a lot.

Most models I've worked with post maybe one shot from each look in their Port or Profile gallery, if that, but will happily post the entire shoot on FB if I give them that many images...

That is an extraordinarily good body of work.  Moreover, I scrolled for over 15 mins and did not reach the end!!!
