Ok I found the issue. When I connect the canon 420 ex speedlite to the stroboframe I wasnt able to get the speedlite to get the AF assist beam from the speedlite to go across the focal selection I had on my Canon Mark II. When I change the AF point selection on the camera the AF beam from the speedlite changes from horizontal beam when jhust in the center focal point to vertical and horizontal AF beam when I change it to the very corner focal points on the camera. There has to be a setting where that both AF beam can be on at once when you have the center focal point on the camera.

Anyone hear of this?

Ok I did a quick search and I guess this is normal for this flash. I think its kind of stupid that both beams dont come on no matter where the focal point is.
