Haha, I think that was me, I remember your profile. I read through it again and I don't see anything else I'd change, but that's probably because any changes I would have already suggested are made or don't bother me anymore.

I think I will change it soon to something more clean and personal maybe, but some advice on it would definitely come handy. Thanks in advance!

I used to have a great bio, then some weirdo copy-pasted it into her profile, so I changed it... has never quite felt "right" since...

Just rewritten my bio, could you give me any advice on how to improve it? If you get a chance, please!

Mea Culpa wrote: I used to have a great bio, then some weirdo copy-pasted it into her profile, so I changed it... has never quite felt "right" since... It's a little word-heavy. Maybe try something less detailed and more specific to who you are and what you can provide to a client. "I'm an experienced and creative model with rates as reasonable and flexible as my body. I have worked across Australia and Japan, and have been published in Australia, the US and in Europe. I won't work for "future joint sale profits" but I'm willing to discuss fees that are within your budget." That kind of sums up the first half of your bio into the most informative part. A reader really just wants to get down to the nitty gritty of your portfolio.

Tommy wrote: Hey, just wanted to get an idea of how I can improve my bio. I thank you for your feedback. Creativity for me is my business, my career, my life and I take it very seriously. Message me so we can get started!"

Anni White wrote: Just rewritten my bio, could you give me any advice on how to improve it? If you get a chance, please! Your bio reads much like a quiet questionnaire. Maybe replacing it with something like this would give it a boost: I'm English but have a knack for Japanese street fashions. I seek collaborators who aren't afraid to experiment with unusual ideas. You don’t have to be experienced, rich or super tall, just creative and fun. If you like my portfolio or have a suggestion, I want to hear about it!"

Misty Matthews wrote: I would love some help with mine. Its been the same for too long. Your bio has a good skeleton. Using bits and pieces maybe it could sound like... See my beautiful toes? I'm a rubenesque and foot model who will go the extra mile for you. Willing to shoot at my home or on location. Escort preferred but negotiable. Implied nudity is my limit, non-negotiable. Themes certain to pique my interest include but are not limited to pin-up/rockabilly, vintage, and fine art.

I am under the impression that no one reads profiles anymore, hence the lack of text on mine. But I'll give it a go.

To spice it up, maybe try something like... "I'm a college graduate who can dance and model, often at the same time..."

Not sure if I can give a suggestion of actual text, but maybe next time you sit down at the computer just make a quick list of what you want to accomplish here on MM. Do you want to get famous? Mingle with artists? Retire early and model in your free time? Mentioning these types of things is valuable for someone trying to imagine how they could include you in a potential gig.

Maybe you could try something with more pop like... "I'm a rubenesque model always looking for makeup artists and photographers who can enhance my affinity for classics, fine art, and rockabilly. I also have cute feet and take my inspiration from beauties like Tess Munster, London Andrews, Whitney Thompson, and Marilyn Monroe."

Hi there, I love that I had stumbled upon this thread and I appreciate your offer in helping the Model Mayhem community with their bios. If you have some time, I'd like you to help me fix my crappy bio. I feel like it definitely needs life and some other suggestions. Thank you!

If you have some time, I'd like you to help me fix my crappy bio. I feel like it definitely needs life and some other suggestions. Thank you! Hi, Nasiana! Welcome back to modeling. Something to remember when writjng a bio intended for clients you hope to work with is to include info as concisely as possible. Most people will go to your portfolio before reading your bio anyway so it's important to give them what they need to know as quickly as possible before they are tempted to move on. Here's what I suggest: "I'm a model and stylist with a keen interest in fashion and publicly-noticeable style, and have a background as a creative consultant and stylist for friends and branding companies such as [__name one__]. I hope to work with photographers and other creative artists to design my look book! Please message me if you are down to talk about creating beautiful work together!" That's really it. Short, personable, descriptive and describes your goals without being too specific. I hope this helps! Good luck out there.
