I said "not noteworthy," and "not an accomplishment", and compared it to another biological function that is routinely carried out without fanfare (unless you're being potty-trained). You hopped on the mommy high-horse too quickly, and dropped your reading comprehension on the way.

Doing something that is done literally thousands of times every day around the globe, and has been happening this way for almost 200,000 years (modern humans)- it is not "impressive" or an "accomplishment".

First of all, I've never given birth but I've witnessed plenty of live births as I'm preparing to have my own. Even before I was pregnant I at least recognized giving birth as being the most physically traumatic experience any person can go through that is a natural process of life. Just because it happens regularly doesn't make it less of an accomplishment. Many women can choose to not have children or to end their pregnancies and many do make that choice. Many women are also opting to have c-sections and many women still die from giving birth.

I think it's rather short sighted for you to tell women that having a child isn't an accomplishment and compare it to having a shit when you can't have a child.

But...

I was saying that in reference to te fact that this is going to be all we hear about for the next year. Just because getting pregnant and giving birth is an accomplishment doesn't mean it has to hear about it all the damn time.

Many women do it without it being national news.

Somebody actually had sex with her? Wow!  How can we be sure?  I didn't realize that a person drunk enough to do that could still "perform".  Could she have used a turkey baster?

Oh...the father is Kanye West...well....that explains it. I suppose he didn't have to be drunk. After calling the POTUS a racist on national TV, it's obvious that he lacks good judgement....even if he can follow a $40 million trail of money to a porn star named Kim.

There's your problem wink

That child will be beautiful (lets face it, the Kardashian/Jenner clan has amazing genes) and will never want for anything.

Regardless of Kims ass size, I'm sure she'll be a great mother.

I never said she was unattractive or lacked fame. Thousands of men gladly have sex with camels annually. That doesn't make camels awesome, or unattractive.

Congrats to them.

I feel bad for Khloe though. She's been trying for years to have a baby with no luck.

Oh, and yes, Kim is still married, but not because she wants to be, it's because her ex-husband has too much pride to admit that the marriage wasn't a fraud.

But anyways...

I don't understand how she "tired" for so long, with the men she has been with in her past, but Kanye and plant one in it with no problem.

I feel bad for Khloe, she deserves and baby more than Kim does.

I've always loved internet opinions.

Personality aside, I'd hit that in a heart beat.

Now, if she were annoying enough, and I was given the chance, I might pass because I don't feel like dealing with nonsense. But that's a totally different story. big_smile

It would not concern you that she happens to be married?

I'd never mess with another man's wife, even if they are separated and even if she's worth $40 million. Vows and promises mean something to me. To some, my values might seem strange because she's famous and worth so much, but I won't mess with another man's wife....just out of principle.

It's kind of sad actually, because my lower-half measurements are pretty similar to hers. I just have a big booty, but don't have any titties to balance it out. I also avoid wearing clothing that shows off my bottom, or fits snugly on my butt, so no one really notices much, unless I'm in leggings or swimwear. And then, people ask me constantly if I have butt implants.

Ultimately, when people talk shit about Kim Kardashian's body, it's a little bit insulting. Kids in middle school fucking TORTURED me over the fact I had a big ass; that was back in the days when Dean Johnson was the "it girl," and you never saw a pear-shaped woman in the media, outside of rap music videos.

It just goes to show that, no matter how people claim to love and "embrace" women with bigger bottoms, it's all a bunch of bullshit. For the most part, the only thing that's *really* considered acceptable to a huge number of people -at least in the US- is a tiny little body, with disproportionately large boobs. God forbid someone be slim with a big butt!!! It might cause the world to explode.

I used to want to believe that people were starting to be more open-minded about body-type diversity, and finding a variety of shapes acceptable and beautiful. Not so sure anymore.

It's odd you mention this. I also have epic hips/butt (40") but have just enough cleavage to almost balance it out (still pear shaped).

It is the one thing I didn't get made fun of for. For a boyish/angular face, my mops of unruly curls or my extreme paleness, sure.

But never for the hip/waist ratio.

The only thing that used to bother me was that as a teenager was that the slimmer women would get the "That's my wife!" catcalls, but when myself or another curvier woman walked down the street, it was always something far more explicitly sexual.

The inherent sexualization of a curvier frame and the cultural assumptions that came with it bothered me, and sometimes still do.

(Perhaps this is the source of my long standing habit of preferring to bare only small amounts of skin in day to day life. A slender woman in a crop top and cutoffs is beach ready and cute......me in a slightly above the knee sundress and heels is "slutty" if random passers by are to be believed)

It's almost a weird offshoot of the Madonna/whore complex....the Audrey Hepburn vs. Marilyn Monroe corollary LOL

I work at a gym now, and it was strongly *suggested* that I wear those tight exercise pants that go to the mid-calf. I don't know what they're called, but it's a certain cut of pants that are popular right now. I normally wear very loose-fitting sweats with a fitted top.

The one day that I actually tried wearing a pair of the suggested pants, not only did my ass bounce up and down uncomfortably when I was climbing stairs, but it just didn't look... professional.

The other female trainers can wear those tight pants and look okay in them. I looked like I was about to shoot a porn movie that happened to be set in a fitness facility. Not cool.

I never wear shorts/short pants for this reason. Considering I'm also short torsoed, it's just a bad look all the way around. Insta smutty and 10 lbs heavier visually all in one go. big_smile
