Well they like people who have issues to make good tv.  I know some models that have tried before.  And they kept girls with over the top personalities who would make good tv.

Good luck!!!  Let us know how it goes.

It's never been my cup of tea, but I met a girl who tried out like three times.

She said you literally wait all day, you're taken in large groups, and most people are selected-out long before they get in front of Tyra and her entourage.  Just don't be disappointed!

I know some people who tried out in Columbus... waited all day, only to speak in front of a camera.

I auditioned!!! I think I'd make a great TV personality. I waited a couple hours in Madison, WI, but most of it was waiting for the producers to arrive/set up. After about 2 hours of that, I was probably 7th in line... took a hot minute for the audition.

Of course the auditions were short, luckily only about 20 people were there when I was there, but I'm sure more people showed up later in the day.

Good luck to everyone!!!

A friend of mine auditioned and waited 11hrs to do a quick 15min audition for a camera.
The only high point was the camera fellow felt she should have gotten a special email that would have given her audience with the judges and producers.

She lost a days work and did less in 15mins then she did in emailing photos, a video, and stats weeks previously.

An experience for sure! Exciting, learned and disappointing all at once.

I'm sure most of you know this already, but just to say it.. it is reality tv, so if you're auditioning expect for it to be scripted to some degree. Reality TV has a tendency to favor the dramatic, and I've worked with a few girls from past seasons that have said their tv persona affected their professional relationships and many people didn't want to work with them because they thought they were 'dramatic'.

I say go for it and use it the best way you can to launch a career, but just consider how it can affect your career both positively and negatively, and prepare yourself for it accordingly. smile

Good luck to any and all that audition! smile

I shot Alexandria back when she was on the show, more than a few people warned me she would be difficult to deal with, it ended up she was one of the kindest llamas I've shot.
