One thing that I have always believed to be important is to compliment a model on what she is *doing* - on her posing, her effort, her skill -  not on her appearance - or more specifically, her body - in order to avoid any sense of impropriety

I was apparently wrong....

I have worked with models who have complained about a body part or their shape or whatnot,  usually while naked  -

after a while I have felt like I had to say *something*.....

So I usually say that I do now know her well enough yet to compliment her (fill in body part, body, whatever she is complaining about)

more often than not,  they follow up with something like

"when will you know me well enough"

or

"sure you do"

or along those lines -

so I convey my opinion, and it seems to make people happy.....

"Where is the model?"

This was actually said not by me, but by a client as I walk into the studio with the model....smile

Check out my posing table, I had it reinforced just for you. It should hold.

I saw the previous thread about "things to never say to a photographer" and thought it would be fun and interesting to see both sides. smile

At a little break during a nude shoot, the model turns to me and asks:
"Should I put my clothes on?"
Really quick and without thinking, I respond:
"Please do!"

She did not take it well, and I did not mean to say it the way I guess it came out....smile

"Do you have a good side?"

I actually said this once. What I meant was "do you have a favourite side"? Thankfully he had a sense of humour.
