Even the best laser printers don't come anywhere near the quality or resolution of an inkjet print.

A good color laser printer will give you quality close to a magazine or newspaper.  Not as good as an inkjet, or a traditional photographic print.

Good enough for some non-critical tasks.

The laser printer can supplement your inkjet, it won't replace it.

There is variation amongst laser printers.  My brother had one that couldn't do reds worth shit.  it was useless for photos.  I have one that gives reasonable results, and is much faster than my inkjet.

No
Laser can be used for low quality jobs like a flyer or hand out media
But their quality is far less than a even midrange photo printer

Never going to get the same quality.  I have one that I got for next to nothing for my B&W documents etc.  Its cost per page is so low its payed for itself over using the inkjet but I would not use it for photos.
