That and the irony of the verbiage in her profile that tags are for people that she has worked with unless they are famous.

But A-ok to spam other people's pages with a pay me tag.

Weird.

I hadn't looked at her profile until I read this, but yes.  Quite interesting that someone with this:

"-Tags are reserved for people I've worked with (unless you're Stefano or Breann, because they're my famous friends. big_smile)"

feels that it's fine for her to blanket tag every photographer in a city that she's passing through.

EDIT:  Look, Ma.  Top of the page!

Please don't use the condescending rolleyes on me when you're the one threatening to turn into an angry vengeful spammer/stalker, and for a "no thanks."

Sounds pretty direct and civil to me.

Simple, because it's spam. Spam tags get CAM-ed and deleted when they land on my page. Same with "hire me" messages. There is a reason there is a travel notice forum.

Sorry Sal, the travel notice section actually sucks.

Until MM has a system in place that can generate notifications for models traveling into the area, or allow searching the travel notices based on zip code, they are worthless for a lot of locations.

I would much prefer to have a model "spam" me than to see on Facebook when a model is leaving my town.

'No thanks' is pretty standard and civil. You tagged him and therefore you made a public announcement with his name. It's only fair if he has the same privilege of accepting or denying that on the same forum.

He did so in a polite manner which in no way has any ounce of butt hurt.

I've had models messaging me saying they were wanting to work with me exclusively, which was interesting since I got the same message on another account, oops.

but I don't really care

They want someone to pay them enough that they don't need multiple jobs.  Doesn't matter WHO.

Not a big fan of the spam tags, myself. I either ignore them, or respond back with a simple "no thanks". I didn't realize that qualified as "butt hurt" or rude or whatever, seems pretty honest and forward. O.o

I'll never understand the intricacies of social interaction.

This thread warms my heart. It's good to see all the wonderful gesture pics, since the admins said it's cool to use in the forums. big_smile

OP - Perhaps you are butthurt by rejection. Even if it's polite.

I've had TWO people leave butt hurt response tags on my wall. One was someone just saying "no thanks" which I roll

Dude bros, sorry I'm insulting your dick size indiscriminately tagging everyone in your area. Calm your balls.

That does suck.  However...I prefer private messages.  Tagged for work availability makes me feel used and I delete them.

The phrasing is a bit awkward, but I think you may have misinterpreted the intent of the quoted line.

I'm going to side with the model on this one.

Tagging back "no thanks" is rude. Some people see the spammy tags as rude, but I don't - If a model is visiting or interested in working together it doesn't hurt to say hi, in a tag or a private message.  There's no harm in that.

If you're not interested in working with a model don't respond back, or do so in a private message.  To shoot them down on a public venue is tacky.

isn't soliciting work in a public venue equally as tacky?

You do realize that this original post is the very definition of butthurt, right?

O_o

And in the interest of giving fair warning, disclosure, etc... I am perfectly happy with the size of my dick. And my balls are calm... for the moment anyway, but who knows what will happen tonight - I rented a movie with Gwyneth Paltrow...

And I'm still tryin' to figure out what 'dude bros' are.

I personally find it rude for people to contact ME seeking paid work. So I think the butthurt is warranted here.

Spamming strangers with tags while rejecting tags from strangers on her own profile is both funny and rude.
