First: http://asylumphoto.tumblr.com/post/4123 … ment-kinda

Second:

I want to thank this little sub-forum that could. A lot of my networking opportunities came from here, and many of my shoots in years past. I'm not exactly a large participant now (in fact, no one really is), so I doubt I'll exactly be around. But maybe I'll check in from time to time. Either way, thanks for the good times, the naked ladies and the bacon... or buttsechs, or whatever. smile

I don't have anything profound to say. I'm still going to randomly show up at your house and cook things, giving you little to no warning. I support all the directions you'll go in the future...from your couch, eating your noms.

damn you!!!!!! Now we cant ever get married. if you are ever in New York, please let me know, lord know I dont leave my place except to get gas for the car, to work, and rarely (very) go out. I was hoping you could shoot my bones one day. You are a person I would like to meet. I cant say that certainly about many people.

With my modeling, there were good times and bad times, and I eventually called it quits. At the end of the day, I wouldn't have done it differently--not because I feel like I did something important, but because I met some great people on my journey.

I remember how we were friends when I lived in DC during that difficult time in my life, and I always thought your last name was apt.

I am neither surprised nor disappointed. I absolutely love your non-model work, and thought I do enjoy the nekkid ladies, I somehow feel that the other stuff is somehow more intuitive to you. Seems like a good direction for you to follow now.

Me, I'm pursuing the non-naked route for a change yikes

I'm nearing my end of modeling. I need to do some soul searching so I will be traveling a little more this year but I definitely understand where you're coming from. I agree with Anastacia up there. I enjoy your traveling and street photography a lot. You should be the Anthony Bourdain of photography!

yikes indeed!

I'd say the "game" is just not me. I don't have any desire of tracking models to shoot, worrying if they are going to show or not, and having it be a rather impersonal experience. I don't have a lot of free time, so I'd rather spend it with friends, or out exploring, things that are generally more rewarding. That's why I'll likely still do the occasional shoot with a friend or whatever, because that's a significantly enjoyable experience. But yeah, shooting "life" is more natural to me, I like to observe and capture, I'm not much of a person who sets up a scene.

Wait… you told me your name was “Douglas Bubbletrousers.” What the hell does that have to do with ass-sylum?
