I still like this best (or didn't I pick this last time?):

I'm still a fan of your developing style (means: style that is developing) but still I think there are some things missing (more impressive, dramatic color things maybe? - ah, no then you'd be almost me ^^)

Not a fan of your "Pin ups". They are mostly just way too oversaturated and poorly lit.
I think overall you really have to work on your lighting (skills) and your storytelling.
There are hints you can do better.
This is one of them (though a bit blurred), and a good example of that I think you're work is much better in b/w.

I'm not really a plus-size-shooter, but I think your port is quiet classy. I like it. I like your charism and smile as well as your versatiliy.
I'd throw out 3 or 4 weaker ones and get some high quality ones instead, but you're doing pretty fine alltogether.

Charism and smile (a bit sharpness is lacking unfortunately):

"Jake" might be a very funny inside joke, but noone gets it and it just is bad for your port.
About the post thing: I'd prefer if you'd just slightly work on them in RAW then and show the other-than-that-unedited images.

It kind of sucks when you try to point out a best image, though. wink

There's a lot to do still ony your facial expressions and posing. You hardly have any really exciting image at all, which could come from this (as this is what gets you very good photogs also).

Overall I'd say you could use some more beauty-like shots and some pics that more emphasizes your (body) shape through light and posing.
I see you like the "natural" kind of look but keep on getting better on your poses however. That would give you much more variety.

Thanks, really appreciated. Actually I don't like so much the natural look, but photographers does... or, at least, the ones that like to work with me.

Nah, I think maybe jest you don't get it  .  .  .  Jake's very personable, and probably does more paid shoots than most of the models on this site  .  .  .  wink  He's been in mags, catalogs, on commercials, dog food ads, he's got quite the resume  .  .  .  and, he's easy ta work with, give 'im a cookie or two, and he's good for the whole shoot  .  .  .  wink  No need on the editing, this site is more play than pay for me, I'd rather share basic shot ideas and looks than finished products on here  .  .  .  I see that you're mostly a retoucher, so I understand your point of view on the post situation  .  .  .  I've been shooting, editing, creating print, AV and video for so long that it's nice just to play a bit at this point  .  .  .  I'll leave all the REAL post work to the experts  .  .  .  thanks again for the look, and the thoughts, always interesting to hear what others are seeing when they view my stuff  .  .  .

Hm, most of your pictures are snapshot-like or of lower photographic and image quality.
If you're serious about modeling get better photographers and better image quality.
There's definately some potential in you but your port just doesn't quiete show it now.

This I like best.

Really? I can't see that (the fat part). So either your text or your port is failing miserably.
"I am currently looking to add more high fashion work to my portfolio with some wild hair/makeup and wardrobe" - Don't go that route. Try a decent, well-made fashion editorial pic first. Good model, good posing, designer clothes and a simple theme. Try some different lightings. That's better then going for "wild/crazy/exaggerated" for starters. This usually fails and looks just plain silly.

The glamour part I see of course.
But to be honest, most of it is not upper class. It's about average in MM maybe. The lighting, the poses, the themes and all. There are some that are just cheap, but there are some that are an exception to things being said. These two are:

I really like your avatar. And there are some real good, impressive and strong photographs in your port. But there are others as well, that are on whol different (lower) level. Your first 3 are, for example.
It astonishes me, to find so different levels in a port. Some are really fashionable and editorial, some really dull.
You should really sort out and rearrange.
These 2 I like most:

I'm sorry, your port and posing does absolutely not show this.

"I plan to get very far in this industry"
In which one? Which clients do you hope to attract? For fashion you'll most likely be a little too short.

Seriously, yes, you have a nice smile but it looks kinda girly and I see no real professionalism in your pictures. I don't want to offend you, but I have to be so straight and honest.
Look at professional pictures, get a real feel for your body, practise actual(!) posing you can see in the high-end magazines, work on your facial expressions (it's got a lot in common with acting) and then try to get some real good photographers. Otherwise I see now way you can even get close to your goal.

You have too much mediocre shots and overall too many pics (with not enough variety) in your port.
I imagine me saying that everytime (and maybe it's because I'm such a light fetishist myself), but improve your lighting skills first. Then try some more different, creative concepts.

Thanks for the feedback. It is greatly appreciated. To your point, the text is really the part that is failing... Luckily, the two you picked are among the newer shots in my port, so I think I'm moving in the right direction.

I am interested in which shots you feel are "cheap" and was wondering if you might explain a bit more... Not sure I fully grasp your meaning.

Thanks!

I'm not really into men's ports so this is not easy for me.
I'd like to see some more serious & edgy images of you with more clothes on. Maybe some portraits. Maybe in b&w. Maybe grow a 1-week-beard for it. You get me I think. And find a photographer who is capable of giving you such high quality images (with decent lighting).
