Any advice?
I'm nervous as all heck. I feel my two hip tattoos will be a losing deal, and my lack of breasts.
Well, they've seen my portfolio (casting director).
Any advice, opinions?

Do your standard preparation for a shoot, get enough rest, stay hydrated and be prepared to wait.  Be outgoing and show your professionalism.  Congratulations on being asked and best wishes on the endeavor!

Even if you don't get picked for publication, you were asked.  Nothing can take that away from you.

Dont worry about it, they contacted you for a reason, and like mentioned before, whats the worst that can happen? - you get your makeup professionally done and shoot with a great published photog, and not picked from the test? - only a few are

take it this way - you get better after every shoot

Who asked you? I mean how did you get asked?

Since the online arm was outright sold off, I can't be certain of what they are now, but here's how they worked two years ago.  Anyone can go.  If you're the right look, they will use your photos (and in some cases, video) of your "audition" shoot online. Unless you're one of the very very few they want to have you test for playmate.

But since the online and the magazine are two different things now, and I have no idea if they have anything at all to do with each other, it might be a good idea to find out what this casting call is really for.

She was contacted by the Playboy Casting people, but you have to remember, as you already know, it is ManWin, not Playboy, doing the casting.

I think you are confusing this with Playboy's Casting Calls.  I saw her today.  I think she is just going in for an audition with them.

We should clarify what you have said though, I don't believe that Playboy actually sold the website to ManWin.  I believe that they licensed playboyplus.com and Playboy television to them and gave them the contract to operate them.  I think actual ownership remains with Playboy, but to some extent it is moot because of the agreements signed with ManWin.  Of course, neither one of us has read the contract so I am sure there are things that are not public.  I do agree with your point though.

It appears that a lot of the traditional Playboy people are working for ManWin these days and certainly working for playboyplus.com is, by and large, actually working for them rather than Playboy.

First of all - congratulations! How cool is that!

Do all your normal prep and just go in with the attitude that "Yes I may be  a liitle nervous, but this is gonna be a blast - whether I get the gig or not!"

BTW - you are so beautiful that all you have to do is smile and you'll knock their socks off.

Good luck and have fun.

Do Not Bother going.
You will be automatically rejected.
You have posed nude and Posted those nude photos on the internet.
Its an automatic Disqualification.
Tattoo's are Not, but being a nude llama is.

If you would like a spot in Playboy as a Cyber girl or in one of their "special" editions, just submit online.

Or Submit to Playboy Television....

This is not meant to be a slam but I believe that you are providing entirely incorrect information.  First, the restriction on having posed nude has only ever applied to being a Playmate, not merely posing for Playboy.  Special Editions, playboy.com, Playboy TV and most other aspects of the magazine itself never had such a restriction. It was limited to Playmate.

Even that taboo has somewhat gone by the wayside.  Playboy has been encouraging popular Cybergirls to test for Playmate.  Indeed, Amelia Talon became a Playmate despite the fact that she had posed a number of times.  She was a well known model here on MM before being selected by Playboy.

You can no longer submit to the "Special Editions" because the flats no longer exist.  Their last edition was published in December of last year.

You can submit online to be a Cybergirl, but you are no longer submitting to Playboy.  You are submitting to Playboy Plus, which is a separate company operated by ManWin, a European producer of adult content.  The same is true for Playboy Television.  ManWin runs that for Playboy as well.  Playboy has very minimal involvement.

Which gets us back to the OP.   She was contacted by Sam Rhima who handles casting for Playboy Plus and Playboy TV on behalf of ManWin.  You have gone around in circles to bring her right back to where she is right now.   She is auditioning for Playboy Plus, at their request.  They have no problem with models who have already posed nude.  If you submit online to become a CyberGirl, the submission is going to go right to the person who invited her to come in.

Your post was well intended, but I don't think it is on track for the current times.

You pretend to know things.  Don't.

I know people who have tested for Playmate at Studio West with Stephen Wyda and others who have posed nude for images that have been posted online.  While Playboy is (almost certainly) not going to award Playmate to someone who's been published in Hustler or other print outlets, simply posing nude and having that in a personal portfolio does not disqualify her.

Special Editions is finished.  No more.

The online part is likely where she would fit in anyway.

Submitting online is probably the least successful way to start a relationship with Playboy.  Going to a casting, like the OP is doing, is a far better way.

Thank you for the useful information. I'm glad to know the distinction.
Of course, I knew it wasn't for Playboy-Playboy, but a branch of it.

I'm nervous. It's on Tuesday.
