Titled: Princess n the Pink Palace  I shot Jessica nude on a green screen. Then I cut her out and drew the dress in CS5. I had the one castle turret, so I heavily tweaked the hue and saturation until I liked the pink. Next I duped it, flopped one of the copies and drew the background castle and fog. I made the stone walkway with Alien Skin nature plugin. Copy, tweaked it to give the vertical appearance of stairs. At this point I decided to change Jessica's bright red hair with a blonde I shot a days before...

Okay... this is my first entry into the "Digital Art of the Day" contest, so forgive me if I inadvertently entered an ineligible photo.  (I think my ps manipulation qualifies, but I am not sure.)  I love to use ps in ways that are not always obvious.  In this photo I used several layers to enhance the imagery.  I manipulated the sky and painted more clouds to add drama.  The field was rather plain, so I painted in a more defined tree line.  On another layer I added the church, of course knocking it slightly out of focus to suggest a limited dof.  Finally, I added the white and blue flowers to the foreground, reinforcing the suggestion of innocence presented by the model.

The model was shot against a white background and then extracted. That image was moved into another background, which was designed by mysticmorning. Her backgrounds are available on DeviantArt. After the model was placed into the background, I warmed the image to give it more glow. I used PhotoShop Elements 10 and the Color Efex Pro plugin.
