Some partners and I are toying with the idea of creating a one-stop/multiple listings site for online classifieds. The concept involves allowing users to blast a single for sale listing to several sites (craigslist, eBay, Amazon, Etsy, etc) and also promoting the listing using social media.

I'd be immensely grateful to anyone who is willing to answer the following three questions for me:

1. Do you use sites such as Craigslist, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, etc to sell goods?

2. How often do you post the same item at multiple sites?

3. Would you use a service that posts your item(s) to 15+ marketplaces with one submission?

You may want to read the rules and the TOS, your concept would violate both on MM.

The Dave:

If you mean that this post violates the TOS... I'll check that out and delete if so. If you mean the concept itself (and it seems you do), it doesn't include blasting to buy/sell forums; just bigger online marketplaces such as Etsy, eBay, Craigslist, etc.

Thanks for your input!

1. Yes
2. Rarely
3. No...because how I sell things/price/etc would vary depending on what site it might be posted on.

What happens if at the end of the Ebay auction, the winner wants the item, but you've already sold it through a different ad?
