Hi everyone! I'd really like some 100% honest feedback on my portfolio, http://purpleport.com/portfolio/chloeki … oekinsella I have more images here.
what do I need to change, do I need to lose weight? change my look? am I just kidding myself, and should I not bother modelling or do I have slight potential?
Would mean a lot! Thank you.

Not a great selection of images. You can't just post images you like, you must post images that show you in the best possible way. Learning what the difference is between a 'good' image and a 'so-so' image is part of the process of learning how to model.
You seem to have one expression, and it's not very 'friendly' looking. Modeling is acting with no lines to memorize... you MUST use your face and body language to convey an attitude or emotion using your eyes and body language. In many of your pictures, I get a 'I'm here, take the picture, and let's get this over' vibe.
Your images have no energy. You seem listless and passive.
Just my opinion, and if it's too harsh for you, sorry, but the folks who would buy your services will be considerably harsher.
PS: PLEASE change your avatar. A landscape image is a poor choice as it shows up smaller and is harder to 'read'.
Your avatar is the first impression you make on folks, it needs to be a strong, positive impression. Pick a portrait orientation image, 3/4 body length or closer so your face is clearly visible, with a simple background, and some primary color. It will work MUCH better for you.

While I do enjoy your port, it seems to be more reliant on your hair and makeup other than your actual skills. Maybe try shooting with less of those things and try to bring out your personality more. Just an idea!

Seems you're tall enough... Most standard models are 5'8"+. You may need to drop down to 115 or 120. Most standard models do not have pink/red dyed hair or facial piercings either. But ask yourself if you want to be a standard model? If so then yes lose a bit of weight, dye your hair normal, take out the facial piercings and go for it. You have a lovely face and I think you actually look best in your more natural pics anyways. But if you don't want to change much, stick to alt modeling, you can do that on your own with no agency. Whatever you do start to work on varying your facial expressions more and being more expressive.

You're adorable and pretty, that's for sure.
But you really need to work on your posing, and having your expression match your poses. If you want to model seriously, do some more high fashion stuff. Not just the cute girl stuff.

A portfolio's function is to sell you as a model to me as a photographer or my client (whomever is paying the bill). As such, you want to make sure that each image you place 'sells' you.
I am not a great fan of costume play in a model's port since I think it distracts from the model. You have way too many of these and it weakens your port. (It actually makes your port more like that of a photographer, which is not the intention!).
I think your three strongest images are those in the last row. They actually give me an idea of how you might fit into a project. So, I would prune your portfolio to the last three plus one other of your choice. Less is actually more in this case!
Unless you are aiming for high fashion, I think your height/weight ratio is fine as it is. High fashion still seems to aim for size zero.
You do need to work on different expressions, or at least choose photographs where your expressions ARE different.
Good luck, Jim

I agree with Buyu but I would provisionally keep two:
I would re-shoot this in a studio with a more upscale choice of clothing.
I think the face is OK but I would again upscale the clothing,
and avoid yellow field outdoor shoots, just on principle.

Thanks for the honest opinion, I needed a kick up the arse like this, but I have kinda started from scratch and just tried to learn what I could and make it up as I've gone along, so I'm still learning, and have plenty more time to do so, but I've changed my avatar, and I've been doing a lot more high fashion/normal stuff, and I'm just trying my best with what I've got.

Yeah I've noticed that myself, my hair is just white blonde now, so I can be more versatile, and I've been doing shoots with more of a natural look, thank you!

Yeah, and I've been working on trying to lose weight, it's only this year and the end of last year that I gained this much weight, and my hair is just white blonde now, and the septum piercing can be hidden for shots, as you'll see in some of my new shots, and I've been doing more natural stuff, so I've taken your opinion into account, thank you

Thank you! I've always tried to vary my poses and stuff, but they're not always the shots the photographers use and send me, but I'm trying to improve, as always. I've done more high fashion stuff recently anyway!

Okay, will do, thank you, and what do you mean by costume play? I've always gone to arrange shoots with photographers and they already have ideas of what they want to do, and I assume they know better, so I just go with it.

Thank you, the first was just an alt shoot, the second was part of a three outfit change shoot, for heroin chic, so I was just doing what the photographers wanted in both instances, and the styling was by the photographer in the second, but thank you!

You need to re-write your About Me. The grammar is pretty bad. Just fixing the grammar and a few small things, this is what I came up with:
"I'm Chloë Kinsella, a model from Birmingham. I've been freelance modelling for over two years now. I've recently been signed with an agency, Maid2Model, also in Birmingham.
Although a wide range of my work has been alternative, I enjoy doing fashion-type work as well. I've worked with a range of lovely photographers and MUAs over the years, and I intend to take my modelling career as far as I possibly can. I joined MM because I've heard it's good for networking.
I'm trained in hairdressing and beauty therapy, and I'm currently training in special effects, media, and theatrical make up in the hopes of becoming a make up artist as well.
I love modelling, it has always been a dream of mine. I can be versatile with my poses and facial expressions, etc. and I'm always open to new ideas.
You can contact me through here, or my facebook page: chloe kinsella (model)"
I would suggest changing your main image on here. It makes you look older than you are. But you are a very beautiful girl with tons of potential!
