With so much bad stuff being slung around the forums...what about talking about one of your best/favorite shoots? What made it your best/favorite? Show us an image from that shoot!

For me...I'd honestly have to say when I recently did a shoot with 2 young ladies from Georgia.

This is one of the many images:

http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130314/21/51429efcaff5a.jpg

They (the 2 models) knew how to move their bodies. They required very little direction (always a huge plus). They even didtheir makeup perfectly prior to the shoot and arrived not only on time, but had the most wonderful energy! Plus the weather was simply perfect (as was the water!)

They simply blew me away!

I LOVE shoots like that because the time flies and you get tons of really good images!

Next??? (this is for photographers/models/mau/hairstylists/etc.)

I'd have to say this is my best to date. This was the fourth shoot in this series ("Nature Beauty") and my eighth shoot overall with this model. By the time we did this work, the model and I had developed a really comfortable working situation, and the poses came quickly and naturally. The model, Ayaka Lynn (mm #364435) had gained a lot of expertise in posing with this genre and she was extremely comfortable with it. Everything just seemed to come together that day, and the shoot was a blast!

I love shooting. I do it now for enjoyment, so if it isnt fun, I dont do it smile So I had a gas doing all the shoots in my portfolio.

If I had to pick one that was maybe more fun, or special in some way.... probably the one below...

Way back, before the dawn of time when I got started, I loved shooting high iso black and white stuff, using what my friends and I called "available darkness". The results were invariably grainy as hell, usually higher contrast than I wanted. But it was the 60's and I thought it was cool as hell. (It really wasnt, but you gotta forgive me smile )

Along comes digital. I really dug the "process", but the high iso stuff was pretty "iffy". Then I bought my D3s, and I was like a kid with a new toy (wait- I was a kid with a new toy smile ).

My dear friend and muse is very into theater, into great stories, and "Phantom of the Opera" was a theme we decided to play with...with the following result.

Sue, that's like asking me which is my favorite "child?"   I've been shooting for 30 years plus!  To be honest, concerts are my favorite to shoot, and there have been easily over a couple thousand of those.  I lost count, and hearing!  Even though I wear ear protection, my right ear has gotten bad as far as hearing the high notes, and rings all the time.

As for models, I have lots of favorites there too!  I'm nostalgic of my "Classics" so I'd have to say that the afternoon I spent shooting Desiree at the beach was one of the very best shoots.  There are a couple images that give a glimpse of how we did, this being my favorite;

http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/050418/15/42641dd9dbbb0_m.jpg

I'm still in contact with her and there is a chance we'll shoot again soon.

Another favorite would have more to do with the model than the images we capture, because she ALWAYS brings it!

http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121124/17/50b17b33b9c80_m.jpg

Kelda is a rap music artist, model and actress who I first met from off omp back before Modelmayhem.  She goes by "Diva!"   I know it's kinda sad looking at those images of models I've shot with that don't have portfolios here and speaking so highly of them.  But ALL of the models I've shot with whom are on here or not have been wonderful to work with!  It's really hard for me to play favorites.

Seems like positive threads like this always get buried.  hmm

There are so many more important threads on escorts, nudity, flakes, and beating dead horses that get attention.  I know!  It's time to create a thread about nude escorts beating dead horses outdoors in the cold while snow flakes fall! That would be an interesting picture!  lol

My most favorite shoot was the one for which the model cancelled on me last minute.

Why?

Because I could stay in bed all day drinking beer and watching TV. I love doing that.

I would have to say that my favorite shoot was a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, I've literally gone through 3 different computers since then, and have a book editor who's wanting a LOT of my archive photos over the past 20 years, so I don't have photos to show/add here yet, but hopefully soon.    (I'll come back and add one or two.)

Edit:  Here's a teaser/outtake.. 18+
   http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/13 … 31c0cb.jpg

Fortunately, the model in question is amazeballs, and looking forward to having the photos from our shoot to share soon has been about the only thing to smile about for the last 2 weeks.

Favorite shoot prior to that, I'd have to say Brennan, so I'll have to issue her a challenge to fight for regaining the title. tongue

Outstanding models who are exceptionally nice, fun people, and a joy to work with.   I love working with people like that. smile

My favorite shoot is always the one I'm planning. Or the one I just shot. Or the one from ten years ago that I just found the work prints of. It's always changing, and the thing that really keeps me coming back is that even the worst disaster of a shoot (and my last one was a doozy) gives me images that are at least interesting.

Trish21 wanted to shoot wearing a mesh body suit at the biggest tourist attraction in Nova Scotia. She went into the washroom in the gift shop wearing jeans and a sweater, carrying a bag and my trench coat. I waited in the hall outside the washrooms. She came out and looked around and then flashed me. I said, "We're going to jail." She said, "It'll be awesome." Yes, I'm sure. So we go out onto the rocks with her wearing those boots. The wind was blowing pretty hard and it was cold. There were people at the lighthouse and she had to use her hands to keep the back of the coat down. We stood on a stone path and I said, "As soon as you open that coat, we're going to jail." She said, "It'll be great. I'll be discrete." I just shook my head and started to walk a few feet away so I could shoot her. Almost as soon as I stepped away I heard an "Ugh." and I turned around and she was laying on the ground. I ran back and put the camera down and said, "Are you ok? She said, "I can't get up." What?" "I can't stand up. You have to help me." So I put my arm under her's and tried to pull her up and she fell back down. I tried said, "Trish, you have to help me here." She said, "If I take my hands off this coat, everyone will see my ass. " I said, "You call this discrete?" Thats when we discovered the heel or buckle of one boot had gotten caught in the mesh of her other leg. I said, "Let me get my camera." She said, "If you don't help me up, I will kick your ass." I was howling. I said, "You can't even stand up." She said, "Help me or I swear to God I will kick your ass." I finally got her legs freed and she stood up. We got the photos and she said, "See, we got away with it." Just then this old man comes walking by, touches her on the shoulder and says, "You're going to catch a cold, dear."

I've had dozens of shoots that I loved at the time, two stand out.

This one, not for the pictures, which are forgettable, but I met Rachel, who became both my muse, and one of my best friends.

And this, from my second nude shoot, with the wonderful Model Sarah.  That few hours set the tone for a lot of what I still do, nearly five years later (18+).

This was taken in Paris France. I was a nanny for two kids and this was taken on a day at the water park. I had my camera, two cute little kids and sunshine. I loved this day and this photo so much. Great memories and so much fun.

No one would ever think someone like me would of picked a non fashion photo to share as a favourite. But god I love it

Reminds me of childhood adventures. smile
