Foot fetish images (as the word 'fetish' indicates) are made with erotic intent, to arouse the viewer the image is targeted at. Not every model is drawn towards that kind of goal. As much as one has the right to choose not to do erotic work, has one the right not to do fetish images. I don't see why models have to explain themselves why they do or don't do certain genres.

Hmmm...interesting. I worked with a model trained in classic ballet before and she was one of the best posers ever. Dancers in general can give you something above what the typical model can.

If you make it this way perhaps we can shoot. smile

I don't think just because a model isn't interested in posing for foot fetish images, or a website, means they don't like their own feet.

Maybe they're not appalled by their own feet. Maybe they're appalled at the foot fetish guys.

Joined it and it's useless (for foot fetishists IMO) and more "stove-piped" than modelling sites.

Personally, I just really don't think my feet are an attractive part of me. I was a dancer and gymnast for so long that my feet are pretty beat up from being stuffed into pointe shoes and being bare footed on gym mats, etc. It's just not good! haha!

I've thought about doing foot modeling. I'm pretty into my feet. I'd probably shoot it myself, though, IF I did decide to do it.

This photographer doesn't seem to have a problem finding llamas interested in working with him: http://www.modelmayhem.com/3508

However, he produces work that transcends the usual "fetish" genre because of his photographic technique, unique ideas, and attention to detail.

Women: Love shoes, hate feet.
You pretty much nailed it on the head.  You really summed up what it is like to be a woman, our likes and dislikes.

The reason I personally do not have any foot fetish shots in my portfolio is because all the foot fetish people have flaked on me when I've responded to ads.  I like my feet, but after a number of times I am becoming insecure about my partially webbed toe, because none of these people ever get back to me after I send them photos.

I like my feet just fine, I just dont want anyone to be aroused by or masturbate to my feet. It makes me uncomfortable when I receive foot comments and lists in photos for that very reason.

Thanks for your post, but again, foot modeling does not mean just modeling the feet. It's about the 'soles and smiles', the pose, the point of view.. have a look at my port if you have a moment.

I think it's about time that foot people receive the same rights and treatment as gay people currently do. In the end foot fetishism is just another orientation which is being discriminated upon quite heavily by both models and photographers.

Seriously comparing foot modeling to gay rights.....?

I needed a foot model for a commercial shoot for a reflexology book and had a heck of a time finding one. Perhaps similar to getting models for fashion video where in another thread it became clear they thought video = porn.

I don't personally get foot fetish but then again I don't knock much. So while it's not my thing that doesn't mean I wouldn't be down for it.
Personally, I hate my feet. I have crazy high arches but some wicked "monkey toes" (long, E.T. types). I could swing from trees, man. Not cool.

It's all about context.  I've frequently photographed a woman's feet, but the feet themselves weren't the main focus of the photo.  I've done it with fashion portraits where the shoes are being emphasized, and once where the model was wearing this interesting anklet/toe-ring combo.  Granted, some of these photos could be construed by others as "fetish" in motive, but I personally think it's a bit of a stretch.

The truth is, when most models are approached specifically to model their feet, they interpret this as being asked to do foot-porn, and they're almost always right.  And having had a lot of personal experience in the fetish community, people with a foot fetish are among the most perverse and weird people out there.  I'll never understand why, as the fetish itself seems relatively tame, yet a lot of the people who have this fetish are so goddam creepy.

To clarify, people with a foot fetish are often not just into feet, they're OBSESSED with feet. and obsession always comes across as creepy.

There's plenty of foot models- we just mostly don't hang out that particular shingle on MM.  Fetlife, FB, and CL are better markets for those who actively seek foot work.

No, just comparing discrimination of foot people to discrimination of gay people.

There really isn't much difference and discrimination of orientation should be against the law in any case.

It doesn't cost much to keep an open mind.

My mind is open, it is my toes that are closed.

If I don't like YOU as a person why should I indulge in YOUR fetish?

Models have no need of foot fetish images, so you're going to have to provide another incentive. This goes for relationship with the rest of the human above the ankle too.

Men who loves women's feet can marry the women (or any woman with feet). Men who love men's minds, bodies, and souls, cannot marry that man. Women who are together as partners for 14 years cannot legally become wed. Not in most states in the US. So tell me how its comparable? Crying about not being able to do ~whatever~ with a womans toes often enough and an actual law against marriage is not comparable. Everyone has fucking fetishes, so what gives a foot fetish special privilege? A fetish is not a sexual orientation.
How many times a week are there stories on the news about the sad teenage boy who killed himself because he didnt get to see lady toes often enough? Or worse yet, how many news stories about the sad teen who got beaten to death because he snuck a peek at someones toes? That shit doesnt happen. I am homosexual and I find that extremely offensive that you would try to compare the two. Being gay is not a fetish.

Oh whatever.  Yes, talented people are often "obsessed" with the TASK of their talent.  But a foot obsession has exactly shit to do with that.

Please give me an example of a very talented photographer who's obsessed with photographing feet.  You won't be able to because there are exactly NONE in existence.

I have no problem with my feet being photographed.  I don't personally have a foot fetish, nor can I really comprehend feeling attracted to feet, but I can understand that some people might be -- and as a model, it's good to know and cater to your market.

I've done shoots in the past with photographers who have obviously had a foot fetish.  As long as they are professional (just as I would expect with any other type of modeling) I have no problem whatsoever with it.  It is no different to me than someone taking images of any of my other body parts.

Also, a lot of models don't want to be known as just foot models and don't see foot photos as something that would go in their portfolio as, well, feet are pretty similar looking to most people, and it's unlikely that the model is going to be booked based purely on her feet, whereas full body/portrait shots are more likely to get work. It's a body part...not representative of a person as a whole and how they are unique.

I'd actually love to do foot modelling - I love my feet! They're gorgeous and I take great care of them. However, I've never been approached by a person offering foot modelling who wasn't a hardcore foot fetishist (and creepy about it. No issue with anyone's fetish as long as it is SSC/RACK, but don't like being made part of someone's feet fantasy when all I signed up for was a photoshoot). Seriously, every single one of them who has ever contacted me has given me the hairs-up-on-the-back-of-my-neck *wooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh no thanks* vibe - not that there have been many, mind. Just a couple.

It sucks, because there are some awesome foot-photographers out there, but I can't seem to meet them sad

I love photographing barefoot models, I do find feet sexy (well, SOME feet anyway), but I can't imagine taking close ups of just feet. I don't really find any body part interesting except in the context of the whole person. A beautiful model with beautiful feet? Awesome, close up of the same feet? Not so much...

I think this is a reason that many models stay away from foot oriented work and/or other known fetishes.

That being said, there are also many models who actively look for such work.

This and the comment right below it probably sum it up.
