I LOVE this pic but I don't know what it is missing. I feel it is missing that pop or wow factor to push it over the edge.

dodge and burn the lips to make them pop and fix the lip line. Also some contrast on the clothes would help. The eye looks very weird one is completely blown out and the other looks scary. I don't know the background lacks dimension she looks pasted there.

How does this look to separate her from the background and how would you suggest I do so if you were to do it.

A few thoughts that came to mind:

- stick with the blue theme, a cooling filter on the hair, a little more blue in the skin tones and in the red of the lips

- define the lips and add a little gloss

- background light low, just above the shoulders, and a touch of lightening around the top of the hair (on the hair) to separate that from the background

- darken the camera-left eye so it isn't quite so different from the other eye (or lighten the camera-right eye)

How did you get the lips to look more cut out.
I had tried my hand at the pic again and got this.
