I agree with you. I haven't updated my site in forever. I usually just use it for proofing. Thanks!

And I'm 17 and did just graduate from HS. wink

So what are you going to do now?  Are you planning to go to college, or are you going to cut your teeth in photography?  With commercial or fashion photography, or any other type of photographer other than teaching it, a college degree does nothing for you.

I'm currently in college, but majoring in Political Science. I figured if photography doesn't work out, I can become president. wink

Joseph, you came in after I closed shop, but since you're local to me, thought I'd respond anyway.

This is my favorite shot of yours:  http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/17994245

Where is that shot at?  That is really cool!

You've got lots of great shots.  You ever shoot weddings?

Holy cow, you've got some pictures in your port -- but I'm talking about quantity over quality.  Your port currently has like 109 pics, but a lot of them are replicates of each other.  At most, pick your best 2 or 3 pics from each model and go with that, and your port will actually get better with fewer pictures.

It kills me that this picture is soft:  http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30853142

Maybe soft is your style, as I noticed it in a  few pics, but man, just not my thing usually.

Maria, love seeing your dance pics.  You use light really well.  I'd like very much to rip apart your port and tell you how terrible you are as a photog.  Well, actually, wouldn't like that all that much, but maybe some.

But can't.  You rock.

This is my fave:

Keep it

*blushing* Thank you! Maybe a little of tearing the port apart wouldn't hurt, it can't be all that good. But thanks for kind words, much appreciated!

Just starting out. Most of my pics were taken by my boyfriend.  I'd love to get a good critique (:

The four shots on the bottom row are absolutely freakin' killer.  Just killer.  The rest of the shots in your port are good.  We just need more from you, that's all, but continue to be selective in who you shoot.  So far, your choices have been phenomenal.

Thanks for the kudos - I have been very fortunate to work with some phenomonal talents.

Not enough really to tear up.  There's just 14 pics in there, they're all good in some way. You just need to shoot more, experiment, get out of your comfort zone.  On your website, some of your dance pics are really good, others not so good.  Dance is where I started in photography.

You definitely have a nice body, and you appear to have a good look.  But you simply have to start working with some really good photographers -- not shitty photographers, but good ones.  if you ever want to freeze your ass off and come to Chicago, I'd be happy to shoot with you.

Dude, you're simply good.  Really nice artistic shots.  Girl standing in doorway, gorgeous.  Legs coming up out of bathtub, gorgeous.  Woman looking up with single breast lit up, gorgeous.

Why don't you have more?

Thank you.

I'm a hobbyist.  Full time job, full time family.  I shoot when I can which sometimes isn't very often.  Never as often as I'd like.

Sorry, not a lot to say here.  Your avatar shot is solid.  And that, unfortunately, is about the end of it.  Your red hair gives you a unique look, and you seem very comfortable with your body.  But you either have to find a photographer who can pose, or you have to learn some poses.  But the photography itself is just killing you.  Problem is, it's too easy these days to own a dSLR camera and call yourself a photographer.  You've been shot by GWCs.   Go find yourself a hot photographer and make some things happen.

Arkansas seems to only have GWCs. I've worked with some that get paid to shoot. Perhaps it's just me

Top two rows are good or decent.  Next two, not so.

These are my faves:

Seriously, get rid of all those pics in the bottom two rows, get with a new photographer and keep working it.  You've got a very nice look!  This first shot of you listed up there, very curvy, very sexy, just beautiful!

Thank you for the critiques! Most of the shots I have are my self portraits that I took with an old digital camera and edited in photoshop. I'll be revamping and adding to it within the next couple of weeks. If may ask, what genres of modeling do you think I could work in?
