I received an email this morning for PHX Modeling Services, Inc, and doing a Google Search brought up nothing besides Arizona talent agencies.

A girl going by the name of "Amie" sent me an email asking me to submit information, and reply with a "Completed" (docX-Word) document of "What I want to do, past modeling, etc" and they guarantee work, blah blah blah. Stating they make no fee's from hiring models until they get them hired. Looking at her email, I was able to type in the web adress (below) but Google didn't bring up anything, so I am wary. It looks like it was just launched a week ago, with low grade images.

Just warning other's about this. Does not seem like a Legit agency, has anyone else been contacted by them?

(Key Note: I'm already represented and can find work by myself. I'm also not suited for high fashion modeling, and do mainly nerd-booth babe stuff)

Appears they don't want anyone knowing who they are either, but are too cheap to pay for domain privacy.

That violates about three different ICANN regulations on domain contacts.

http://www.icann.org/en/resources/regis … /wdrp/faqs

I received a WDRP notice, but my information is correct. Is any action required on my part to ensure my domain registration is not affected?
When sending WDRP notices, registrars are required to remind their customers that the provision of false Whois information can be grounds for cancellation of a domain name registration. If your information is correct, your domain name will not be cancelled and you do not need to take any action.

Additionally:

Have at it.

Defo some sort of scam.

The website is full of stolen images from the internet, and it's so poorly designed I think most web savy people could make it in about 7 minutes.

look at the site. it's pretty clear there's no real business taking place.

it looks more like some guy spent an hour or two putting up a website in hopes of convincing underage girls to send him bathroom mirror photos of themselves in their underwear.

Even IF it was real, would you really want an agent who calls models "girls" and only touts for swimwear and lingerie? Come on.

Would you really want an agent with a website that ugly and horrible? Come on.

That's the same guy who started all the Occupy protests. I've seen his beady little face and pencil mustache.

Aimee Jones
Great Paying Modeling Jobs

Hello, my name is Aimee, and I am the talent recruiter for PHX Modeling Services, Inc. We have been contracted by several companies and clients to find models that would be interested in modeling in a diverse variety of shoots and projects, mostly fashion and glamour. If you believe that you would be interested in hearing more, I would invite you to email the attached short application back to me as soon as possible. Based upon your answers we will match you with jobs from our client companies. This is a completely free service for you; we are paid by the companies that you could possibly be working for and not the models. We only facilitate making the connection between models and companies. If you do have questions, I would be happy to address them after having reviewed your submitted modeling application.

I don't believe this to be legit. I too have searched for this 'agency' and found nothing. Beware!

Yup, I got the same message yesterday. This looks just like a webcam site for pre-pubscent girls. I responded asking for a legit description of what it is that they do, and to prove that they are not a scam. We'll see if I get anything back!

I have also just received an email off of "Amie" but also within 5 minutes received an email off of an "Andrea" the emails are almost exact for wording, except the end of "Andrea's" message looks more professional having:
Regards,

Andrea Nelson-Fellum

unlike the email off of "Amie".
Just thought I would let everyone know that the emails are still in cycle and that there seems to be a new alias.

Danger, Will Robinson, Danger.

My account was hijacked last month and the scammers used my account to send offers for "Glamour magazines" and "Talent Scouts" to a number of models on MM. Working with the Mods, I was able to get back control of my account. Then looking at the "Sent" folder in my messages, I was able to pick out all the models who had received the phony offers and tell them that it was a scam and to ignore the offers.
If it  sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Whenever the question is "Is this a scam?" the answer ALWAYS is "Yes!"  But what I want to know is:  What is "nerd-booth babe" stuff?

Look at the front page of their website.  They are holding a contest for the "sexiest snapchat picture".  If anyone is still wondering if they're a legitimate modeling agency, this should answer your question.

They are still going. I just got an email this afternoon, and before giving anyone any of my information, I search the company name, found this thread and their site. I felt like it was strange when one of the questions was: "If you indicated that you will model lingerie, implied nudity, topless, full nudity, erotic nudity, or adult, is your body hair unremoved or removed via shaving or waxing?" Like, to me since I'm fairly new to the modeling world seems a little personal. That could just be me though, haha.

So, everyone came to the conclusion that this is a scam?
