That apparently - I should spend tomorrow digging a hole. And then hiding in it until Tuesday Gads - I know they need to inject a little drama into the weather - but, the local weathercasters in NW Arkansas are in full "Armwaving/flailing mode" I guess the midwest is in for a rough ride the next few days. 2 full days of severe storms ahead.... *goes out to dig hole* Hope it's better where you are. "Toto???" May 18 13 09:09 pm Link grab a camera and chase May 18 13 09:13 pm Link um - I don' usually have to chase - it seems to come to me Bolt from my front porch And one from the back yard May 19 13 05:05 am Link those are great shots! May 19 13 08:07 am Link Glad I'm not driving home today - looks like a tornado south of OK City along highway 40 3 tornado warnings and 13 severe thunderstorm warnings - not good. Stay safe. May 19 13 04:13 pm Link it's not good on this side either. rain in the forecast for the next 5 days! gonna be wet and depressing May 19 13 04:26 pm Link Vintagevista wrote: That's all just a couple of counties West of me. May 19 13 06:40 pm Link Phssssst. You guys are weather amateurs. Try Buffalo in the winter. They have weather forecasts that are downright frightening. My favorite is, "Severe Winter Weather Warning" which means you're going to get just about everything. May 20 13 06:20 am Link And - - - - Nuthin' here - sun just popped out Not minimizing the distress of those poor folks in Oklahoma - for whom the armwaving was fully justified Especially for Oklahoma City Now, it's all about the "stormwatch" here tonight. May 20 13 12:25 pm Link May 20 13 02:03 pm Link Well, it finally got around to us - severe storm to be sure - 1 fatality in Springdale Arkansas and sporatic damage. But, not a storm they will talk about in hushed tones in years to come. But, compared to Oklahoma - Holy Mother Of God - those poor people... Shutting off the computer now as the lightning has started up again. (I did get one stunning lightning shot earlier this evening) Bye. May 20 13 08:51 pm Link Vintagevista wrote: I wanna see. May 21 13 09:18 am Link Yeah - I was in Rogers - and the storm was drowning out the sirens. But, I can't even think of that "0-weird" version we had here - compared to a "0-EF4 tornado" May 21 13 03:08 pm Link and here is the shot from my back yard from that storm. This is NOT a multiple exposure - I was getting some individual flashes and then Boom, the storm just UNLOADED - flickered for more than a second along the same strike track and just emptied the cloud down that same path. May 26 13 10:41 am Link Holy fuck that is incredible,I'm jealous May 27 13 05:11 am Link Thanks - My reaction to having that storm unload in the moment the shutter was open - was kinda the same "Holy Shit!"
