I am new(er) to this..  I originally  did this with way too flat skin (single toned).  When I zoommed out, it looked flat.  So I redid it, this time, I left the shadowing, and added a bit more.  I darkened down the image using curves and then lightened the eyes section (horizontally) for a more dramatic effect.

Comments welcome..  I think skin is my weakpoint..

Brings so many memories back!! :-) We have all been on that level before!!

I will learn to use some techniques first like learn how to clean skin by using healing/cloning and also learn dodge and burn.. this one will be your best friend if you are serious about retouching.

The eyes area is far too overdone unless you were going for that look but it looks almost like Twighlight!!
