We barely remember what came before this precious moment, Choosing to be here right now. Hold on, stay inside... This body holding me, reminding me that I am not alone in This body makes me feel eternal. All this pain is an illusion. -- Tool, Parabol/Parabola http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPDpXjqkO6U

DougBPhoto wrote: OH, THAT THREAD OH MY GAWD Yeah, that thread. When I first read it I thought maybe it was about harrowing, life-or-death experiences like almost getting hit by a train, on a phootshoot or something similarly unpleasant. Imagine my disappointment when it was only about a paranoid model worrying that she'll get killed or raped or chopped up into little bits, or some such...

I did not make the thread if you notice -- It is in SF2 and was a joke that was carried over from a thread in off topic. But if you're really disappointed I am having major surgery next week so check in next Saturday. Or not.

But if you're really disappointed I am having major surgery next week so check in next Saturday. Or not. I know you didn't make the thread. It wasn't directed at you. When I said: "just because you make another account..." Perhaps I should have phrased it: "When One makes a new account,..." This thread is made in bad taste, is what I mean. Mz Machina passed away earlier this month. Never is a good time to parody death threads. Best of luck with your surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I was aware of this thread before I saw the one about the deceased model. I know this thread was about tongue in cheek comments in another SF2 thread. I never even connected this thread with the one about the real deceased model.

Never is a good time to parody death threads. Best of luck with your surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery. FWIW, it wasn't because she made a new account, if you'll look at the creation date, that account has been in use for quite some time. As far as I know it was not intended as a parody death thread in the context of parodying a death thread, as I was under the impression that it came as a result of parodying comments in a thread that truly deserved to be parodied. The fact that you, or anyone else might take it as being a serious RIP thread, I doubt crossed anyone's mind. That said, the OP probably should have linked to the inspiration for the thread, which I presume was the thread titled: "any life or death experiences on MM?" https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thre … st18460666 Of course, it is unfortunate that this might have caused you any distress, but my perception is that saying this thread is in bad taste suggests that folks were somehow aware that someone else passed away recently. It seems like something that was innocently done with no way of knowing that you or anyone else would take offense or be upset by it. This is SF2, I'm not sure it needs to be made out to be more than what it is.
