My previous post was confusing, but I can't figure out how to delete it, please forgive the re-post.
Can anyone point me to a good source of online downloads for good backgrounds that are made to shop a model into? I see a lot of cool superimposed photos that look like they have a backgrounds designed just for this purpose. But I'm having a really hard time searching and finding for the right thing.
Anyone know any good sites?

Deviantart has an enormous selection of free stock backgrounds of all types. The one catch is that each uploader sets their own usage rights and some don't allow commercial or reselling.

Is there a specific category or keyword that would reveal more of these images? Or do you just kind of endlessly search through stuff until you find someone that fits?
Most of the scenery is too distant to fit a model anywhere and most of the photos don't leave enough room to cut someone in (which makes sense because they're composed well).

Its always best to shoot your own background images, but in cases where there is not desert or north pole in the next block you need to search manually in the archives, at places like the links pictus provided. Another useful source is www.photoxpress.com
I used these a lot in the past, but am trying to get my own as often as possible as it feels a lot better to have done all by yourself. ( I still have to use other desert images though ).

What your looking for IS available however the quality can be lacking, the lighting may be off, there's gonna be foreshortening when you crop it, loss of pixels = loss in quality. If you want quality you'll have to pay (my experience anyway) and I can't be bov'erthed so I do my own when I can. Though like I can get loads of cows - not so many snakes! So yes I do buy stocks I need.
You can get premades below:
Deviant Art http://www.deviantart.com/resources/stockart/premade/ (beware of the stockers rules and regs)
Trevilion http://www.trevillion.com/ (You'll have to buy them but excellent quality)
Renderosity http://www.renderosity.com/ (3D site - some free, some crap, some ok, some excellent, some payment only....)
Most of the stock sites DO have these images just search "premade images" but really...go spend time taking and learning to comp your own. It just 1) saves hassle 2) you own the copyright 3) quality is kept.

Thanks! I don't mind paying for the photos if it's something that's worth it for the shot I'm compiling. Finding scenes around here is a little difficult, and for the ones I do like, I'll just take the model there and shoot on site to save the post hassle.

And also correct the studio light to match the different positions, unless it was a really cloudy day..
